    What round for Amik?

When does he get drafted? Gotta find a team willing to take a chance on his height. Hopefully there will be less "group-think" in the NFL this year since various staffs haven't spent as much time with one another and some smart team will grab him early.

He is probably 2nd round talent, so I voted 5.

I'm terrible at guessing this stuff. Every year it seems like I try to read everything I can about our potential draft guys and look for them on every mock draft, and then I'm almost always surprised one direction or the other. I think he probably "ought" to go in the 2nd, but I voted third, just because I think he'll be under-valued.

Now into the third round, this is about the earliest Amik was pegged for. He is in the top 3-4 CB's still on the board.

Well a tough night of sleep for AR. Hope he goes early tomorrow and has a long and prosperous NFL career.

He is presently #5 on Mel Kiper's best remaining list. Still in the 4th round, he should be drafted fairly shortly.

Raiders it is. Two Tech players drafted back to back in the 4th round.

Wouldn’t have bet Sneed would go b4 AR. Run of CBs ranked lower went ahead of him. I think he’ll make them regret that.

    Re: What round for Amik?

As I said on the other thread, Sneed gets drafted exactly one spot ahead of Amik Robertson, in the 4th round. Sneed #32 to KC, Amik goes #33 to the Raiders. Very nice! Congrats to both players. I really believe this is a good spot in the draft for BOTH of them.

I was hoping Sneed would move way up on the draft board after running that 4.37 40-yd dash at the NFL combine. It really paid off. Sneed was also drafted because he's a bigger (6'0, 190) player, and a very good tackler. And he can play CB or Safety. He should be durable too.

I think Amik will turn out to be one of the steals in the draft.

Was watching a FB blog (on the NFL) the other day and the two hosts, who are just a "couple of guys" mentioned Amik and said the same thing, "could be the steal of the draft." They did mention his injury deterred other teams from drafting him earlier. They said he would have been an early 2nd round pick if not for the injury concerns. They showed some highlights from the game vs. Texas, Amik making some plays.

    Re: What round for Amik?

I find it interesting that even among our own fans, all the talk is still about Amik, and not Sneed. Never mind that Sneed was drafted ahead of Amik, and shocked the world at the NFL combine by running a legit, electronically timed, 4.37 40-yd dash. Folks that's very fast. Only a few of us in the world have ever run that fast...

Out of over 300+ players at this years NFL combine, Sneed posted the 4th fastest time:

    https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-combine-40-times-2020-fastest/ckp2biukq4nc1xvu2tx8rp5o5

Interestingly, Sneed finished one spot behind Southern Miss WR Quez Watkins, who ran a 4.35, and finished 3rd overall.

Who said we don't have talent in CUSA? Two the the top 4 fastest players at this years NFL Combine were from CUSA. (There was no speed mentioned for Amik.)

I will be just as excited to watch Sneed succeed in KC, as Amik in LV. But there's one big difference: By going to KC, Sneed has a very legitimate chance to pick up some Super Bowl hardware over the next few years.
