IMO, one of the best AD's we had in the last 20 years was Dooley. This was one of his jobs, but he "got it" and was one of the biggest catalysts in Tech's perception to make the jump to the national stage. We need someone like Dooley who can get good games scheduled and promote Tech Athletics. We have definitely been on the decline in the last few years. There is zero excitement about Tech athletics..

Have you guys heard about us hiring a new AD? I have...while Tommy Mac is good...no questions asked...we've got a homegrown hero right amongst us. His name is Adam McGuirt..and he's a TECH man to the core, and has been given so much responsibility in regards to Tornado Recovery...and then this Covid Crap.

Anyway...I officially hold all my LTAC money until this guy is named AD.

Again...nothing against Tommy Mac..but we've been overlooking a gem in our pile of dirt...and I hope y'all feel the same way.

In these truly uncertain times I feel as if this man is the way to go...and quite possibly..our only hope.

I'm not one to kiss and tell but when the you know what hit the fan lately he was named "Head of Recovery Taskforce" or the like. What it meant was he was our man in our darkest hour ...and he remains so..Adam for AD!

I wonder if the new AD has already been selected. And has been for months.

I can't see us just pushing TMac aside. Now he may be getting a message to start looking for an SEC/Big12/ACC Associate or Assistant AD job. But just replacing him outright, I just don't see it.

I wonder if this was the case and if his replacement was selected months ago?

Midwits are not dimwits. Dimwits are dumb. Midwits are of marginal intelligence but generally unable to conceive of how to raise their own standards (which can be socially risky) or, in this case, hold Tech to a higher standard.

A dimwit would think Tech could compete year in year out with the corruption and recruiting dollars of lsu.

A midwit would think we ought not to rock the boat and grasp for anything better.

Adam may not have the experience nor contacts. But he certainly is not bashful and it would not take him long to be off and running working for and in TECH's best interest.

He has many more contacts and MUCH more experience than our former AD had. You are right, he is a people person. Even if he disagrees with you, he will speak to you about how you feel, not brush you off.

It would be nice to have an AD who would remain standing after games for the Alma Mater.
