I don’t remember ever condoning destruction of property.

But surely you aren’t surprised that a statement about shooting SOMEONE is more likely to get flagged than a statement about burning SOMETHING. A statement about the prospect of killing someone is almost always going to get a zero tolerance response.

    Re: Terrorism

Another General, General Allen, had this to say about the disgraceful display:

in a bid to create some appearance that he can empathize with those demonstrating peacefully in the streets, the president proclaimed himself the “ally of peaceful protesters.” But, at that very moment, just a few hundred feet away across Lafayette Park, fully equipped riot police and troops violently, and without provocation, set upon the peaceful demonstrators there, manhandling and beating many of them, employing flash-bangs, riot-control agents, and pepper spray throughout. These demonstrators had done nothing to warrant such an attack. Media who were watching over the scene craned their cameras to try to understand what had happened to justify this violence, until it became clear for all to see. The riot police had waded into these nonviolent American citizens—who were protesting massive social injustice—with the sole purpose of clearing the area around St. John’s Episcopal Church, on the other side of the park, so the self-proclaimed “ally of peaceful protesters,” Donald Trump, could pose there for a photo-op.

So it was AFTER Protestors/Rioters set the church on fire. And you DO NOT know for a fact that any of "these protesters" didn't set the church on fire the day before.

In America, there is no reason to presume that they were. They were being peaceful and lawful and then they were attacked with flashbangs, pellets and tear gas (OC and CS types). The crowd did not hear any warnings if they were given. That is shameful for whoever ordered the attack and those that carried it out.

What possibly makes you think "protesters" would try to burn down the church on Monday, and then re-gather again at the same exact location on Tuesday, but apparently have no interest in trying to burn it down again? You're absurd.

Not shameful at all. If the "protesters" don't like the action, they should stay home like you do. Nobody said "protesting" was easy.

That’s a Texas sized dumb position. We have a process for criminals...it is not being attacked before they face a jury.

The right was WAY better when it valued liberty.

Oh Johnny Lightweight....that's so silly, even for you. Did you see any criminals arrested for the church burning? If you did please communicate this to police. So, if the bad guys are still out there, do you think there's any chance they were in the "protester" crowed the next day?

You can’t preemptively attack a group unprovoked because there’s a criminal on the loose “somewhere”.

Populism has made some of y’all talk dumber than a bag of rocks. Either that or time spent defending a jackass has turned you into one.

It is ironic that we see more posts about a church burning around here when it is the rare exception...churches are always being burnt by a white supremacists.

    Always...?

    More stupid stuff...

A Philly Eatery did a nice thing, made a wonderful gesture by offering a free lunch to police out on the streets, working hard to defend property against leftist thugs. What possibly could be wrong with that, and what possibly could go wrong? Well, in this nutso world, the Eatery was "attacked" (verbally and via social media) for daring to do something nice for police officers. So! the Eatery apologized for being "insensitive." Now, the local police union is calling for a boycott of the establishment. If this was a scene in a movie no one would believe it.

There is a twitter video of a man and his little daughter leaving Childreans hospital in Houston recently. He was parked on the street and there were "protests" going on outside. Well his little girl was terrified, you could see her face in the video. He puts his little girl in the car seat, and gets in his car surrounded by people. Then you can hear the rocks, and other items hitting his car and windows as the "peaceful protesters" were throwing items at his car with his little girl in the back seat..

Watched a segment on the today show this morning on how people could help the "small businesses" that were damaged as part of the riots. They talked about "shopping local", volunteering, and supporting them on social media. The first thought that came to my mind, and the Today show never mentioned it was, don't vandalize, loot, and set fire to the small businesses in the first place.
