Apparently Arkansas State has the rights to "Red Wolves." Of course, there could be negotiations, but is it worth a fight for Snyder?
When they announced they were changing their team name, other nominees included the Quakes, the Skeeters, and the Gorillas.
I understand that red wolves are a rare species indigenous to that region. But given some of the other unique suggestions ... it was pretty weak sauce.

The Redskins has always been a racist name. The Trademark Office has refused to register the mark many times because it was disparaging.
Corporations have finally started to show signs that they are going to make more of an effort to stop being agents for racism.
Would this have happened without George Floyd, BLM movement and Trump’s antagonism? Probably not today. Definitely should have happened a long time ago, but better late than never.

I would hate if the "nostalgia" TV networks stopped showing TAGS, GP, GA, etc., because a few found their comedy "offensive" to rural or southern people. I'm not offended by the Beverly Hillbillies.
