i agree guisslapp's criticisms are for the most part without substance, but you called ME a commie. based on what? my (very mild) criticism of trump. i'd be willing to bet i'm farther from socialism and communism than you are, and i'm definitely right of trump on that spectrum, but you called me a commie anyway because you seem to think that only leftists can dislike trump.
i guess i misunderstood. it clearly shows how far we have come, which i agree is amazing. it does not demonstrate that we have still got a way to go, which seemed to be what you were implying (not saying i don't agree that we have a way to go, only that this instance does nothing to demonstrate that).
certainly seemed like you were accusing someone of thinking that getting arrested for for using the wrong color bathroom is par for the course. maybe i misunderstood your meaning there as well?
Na, podnuh. If I misunderstood, that’s on me, and I apologize. My bad, in the parlance of our time.
We do have a ways to go, in my humble opinion.
Getting better? Yes. Time will eventually erase all wounds.
But in the present, If we’re not moving forward, we’re going backwards.
Why (how) can a true American patriot dislike PRESIDENT Trump? One can dislike Donald Trump on a personal level, as a person. But no way can any true American dislike the job he is doing as POTUS. I doubt you are farther to the right than me re: socialism/communism. If you are, congrats, because you have done a great job of disguising it.
Hell no, that is no rhetorical question! Just goes to show how out of touch you really are. But, go ahead, if you dare...attack President Trump on the job he is doing for REAL Americans. Please. Goosey has gone off the deep end and doesn't even offer mildly humorous stupid stuff anymore. Maybe you can take his place.
Linked his supporters? That's just you projecting. Because you love Trump so much, you feel like attacks on him are attacks on you. I don't know that I've questioned anybody here on their character, but I've certainly called out the hypocrisy. The right was falling all over themselves to attack Bill Clinton's character. By your metric, we should've all just been supporting him because he got good results. You don't have to go back far on this board to see all the character attacks on Obama. But now that YOUR guy is in office, we need to just ignore his deplorable character. Al Mohler was right in 2016. His about face is the definition of hypocrisy.
This is just circular reasoning. Then, you take that circular reasoning and extrapolate that those who oppose Trump hate America. Just bad logic all around.
Time is your friend. Impulse is your enemy. -John Bogle
I attacked obummer on his policies. Didn't know he had any character that could even be measured....Mr. Empty Suit.
As for Bill Clinton I have been very clear and consistent on him and his tenure. I did not vote for him either time he ran, so this is not about what I thought of him at the time. He did sell missile technology to the Chicoms in 1996 and should have been tried as a traitor for that. He did have sex "with that woman" in the "Oral" Office and then perjured himself lying about it. Neither of those are in dispute. STILL! the economy did great during his tenure...that is not in dispute either. Unlike you suffering from TDS, blinded by your hatred, I can look at a politician I did not support and acknowledge his accomplishments.
Even obummer...he took out those Somalia pirates and ordered SEAL Team 6 to get Bin Laden. Two accomplishments.
"how can a true american patriot dislike president trump?"
for starters, a true american patriot respects the office of the presidency and hates to see a petty, childish brat treat it like his personal toy. a true american patriot wants to see americans united around good government, not their political rivals getting "owned".
just because i don't like trump doesn't mean i support his opponents. i can't imagine things being better with biden in charge (or whoever takes over after he fails to survive the first year in office). i just wish we had someone thoughtful and mature in office who also isn't up to their neck in the swamp. at this point kanye almost seems like a viable option...
