I was thinking with the total number of encounters being higher, that the number of deportations has to be higher. Even if the numbers he allowed to be relocated are also higher. It’s like the migration of the wildebeests down there.

Clear-eyed, if somewhat disheartening take on the big-picture state of immigration (and non-immigration, to be a little more technical than the author).

    No thanks.

Opinion writer was optimistic "about Biden's chances of transforming our economy". This should tell you everything you need to know about his viewpoint. Well, that and the fact that he called Trump's policies cruel and says Biden kept most of his border policies in place except the cruel ones.

Pathway to citizenship for those who chose to ignore our laws (laws written by folks you and I voted for)? A pathway for lawbreakers would be the same as an invitation to future lawbreakers. Since the dim party and their repub counterparts created the existing welfare state, we cannot afford such an act. And yes, a great majority are in it for the goodies they get when they get here, otherwise they'd want to stay in Mexico on their way in (where they might get a job, but wouldn't get all the yummies from the American taxpayer).

The immigration they always reference back to was the immigration that funneled folks through Ellis Island and made sure we know who they were, why they were here and whether they had any diseases that would harm the existing population (which included the folks who had been funneled through Ellis Island previously). Eventually they even slowed of stopped this level of immigration to make sure those that came here (all those evil white folks from Europe, so the anti race talk is just stupid as well) could successfully become Americans instead of Europeans living in America. And we didn't have an out of control welfare system here when those folks came over here. They had to fend for themselves and figure out how to fit in, and most did very well. Wonder how they would have fared if they had come over with a guarantee of health care, food, a place to live, the right to be taught in their native language, etc. etc? I would bet no so well!

I do agree with one thing in this article.....it was the writer's opinion.

Well, the opinions are certainly opinions.

But the charts and numbers are presumably not (and interesting, at least to me).

You are still thinking of ways to justify your Trump hate. Carry on.

The adults are working hard to grow their voting base. Illegals along with dead people and multiple ballots from the same people spell more Biden type victories.

    Pathetic...

This country, the free world NEEDS Donald Trump as POTUS. Not "wants" or "would like" but NEEDS!!!! And he would need a true American Congress to work with, no Dems and no RINOs.

One can't help but notice how quiet our Biden Voters have gotten here on BB&B in the last few weeks. LOL! Their world is falling apart, and their party has nobody under 80 yrs old that can run for office.

I don't want to hear a single one of the FJB fans say, "we didn't think it would be THIS bad", because THAT would be a damn lie. FJB TOLD you exactly what he was going to do, and he did it. He took a perfectly well running machine of a country and in one-year he changed everything. And now everything is blowing up in his face, AND YOURS!

You don’t get it HD. It will take a few years for Biden’s changes to have the lasting results we are looking for. 1 year into the Republicans presidential term(2025), Biden’s plan will take full effect and everything will be fixed.
