I agree with the need for a modicum of normalcy that sports bring.
Leave the Dems out of it. Making this a political issue instead of a public health issue got us where we are today.
I don’t know much either; but the head of the CDC and Surgeon General (and others) say the United States could knock Covid on its ass in four to six weeks if folks would just wear a mask when they’re out and about.
We were targeted earlier and hit harder. Plus the regressive Dems, Hollywood and the compromised media had everyone distracted with impeachment. And now BLM race riots and Bernie Bro Marxist and socialist white anarchy. Hum and they even want reparations for 160 year old slavery that every country in the world has utilized. And all of this while spending $$ trillions handing out to companies and individuals. Dems love to take advantage of every crisis and create more of them at the same time.
Wear a mask and social distance. If we had done that in March, we would have been in MUCH better shape now with people's lives and the economy (which includes entertainment and sports). I know some of you will disagree, but we need (and needed) a national approach even if that meant calling all Governors to the table back in March to mandate masks and shelter in place. I truly believe that 4 weeks of that would have just about whipped this thing and we could have gone back to a somewhat normal life by the end of May/beginning of June. Better late than never now. We were short on real masks at the time, which was part of the problem. Even if people would have worn cloth ones to just go out for essentials, it would have had some protection. Instead - here we are. We need a coordinated national approach. COVID-19 does not know the state boundary lines. If we do it now, we may have a chance for September to be somewhat better. That will help while we wait on some promising vaccines in the works for the end of the calendar year.
My granddaughter who spends a lot of time with us, is 4, and not mandated to wear a mask. But, seeing everyone else wearing one, of course she felt left out. So, my wife had some made for her with her favorite Disney characters on them. It's funny to see her match the masks, with their color schemes, to her outfits. Oh no, Papa, can't wear a pink mask with the red shirt...it doesn't go!
While we try to maintain an even keel and deal with this, it's really sad to see her, any of us, having to wear masks. All thanks to the Chicoms...
