CUSA sucks...
USA 32 USM 21 Final.
I get the SEC Network and FSN1 for free on XFinity. I won't pay extra just to watch a few games on CBSS.
BTW, Jack Abraham is very mediocre. He ain't bad, but not particularly good either.
We get to reunite with former Bulldog & USM (OC/QB) Matt Kubik on the field in a few weeks.
I didn’t watch much of it, but I was impressed with a few of the calls I saw Kubik make. Would love to see him back at some point.
This is going to be a year with a lot of pretty odd results I bet. There has just been such a huge disruption in practice times, who got in a spring session and who didn't, random position groups or players missing practices, players opting out, schedules being rearranged. And that's before we get to the reality of some poor team having their whole QB room get quarantined on like the Wed. before a game. Or the whole O-Line. Or half the secondary and 3 coaches or something.
Add that to the normal uncertainty built into college football and reduced non-conference schedules and I think we are really going to be in for a year where it's going to be hard to get a handle on the teams' relative position to one another.
I got the basic Suddenlink Value cable service in Ruston when we moved a couple months ago. With all the internet channels I get with the new TV, I couldn't justify paying anymore to Suddenlink. But since I couldn't watch the USM game last night I picked up the Suddenlink digital sports & information package for $10 per month. NOT a special promo deal where they'll go up in a few months. Now I have CBS Sports Network, Fox Sports College, FS1, FS2, NFL Network and some others.
That's not a bad deal to get the chance to see more college sports. Maybe XFinity has something like that available.
FYI to anyone else in Ruston on Suddenlink. Besides the Suddenlink Value tv package we got their base unlimited data internet plan at 100 mbps. When I called in today, they said their base unlimited internet data speed is now 400 mbps. Because I called in, they moved me up at no additional cost and it's (supposedly) not a promo where they'll go up on cost later. But if I hadn't called, I'd still be at the 100. So might be worth a call.
(Why they don't just go up on speed I don't know other than Suddenlink is a pretty pathetic company.)
CUSA West looks wide open. I pray we are up to the task, because this is the year.
Yes Xfinity has a low tier sports package for around $10/mo. I had it for a while, but it only gave me CBSS, ESPNU (I get this for 499 a month in my Espn+package), and a couple of outdoor channels.
I am in the Dallas area (Frisco). Seeing that you are talking about SuddenLink and Xfinity, you might want to look at Youtube TV, which is a streaming service. They have the local channels in your area, and included in their standard package is ACC network, Big 10 network, CBS Sports Network, EPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN News, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Golf Channel, MLB Network, NBA TV, NBS Sports Network, NFL Network, SEC Network, Tennis Channel, Olympic Channel, Fox Sports Southwest, and Fox Sports Southwest Plus. The only ones you might not get in Ruston and surrounding area is Fox sports Southwest. You can go to TV.Youtube.com and enter your zip code and it will show you all the channels you can get. I have only highlighted the sports channels but you get most of what people normally watch off of their cable systems and it seems cheaper ($65/month - they just raised their rates from $45 last month). Moving to Frisco made me look at other options other than the standard cable options in this area. So far, we have been real pleased with the results. Just wanted to throw it out there in case you were interested.
