He did catch on... just couldn't hold on.
Amik is active tonight, covid has hit Raiders secondary. He should get several snaps tonight and might even start.
Two quick things before the game starts:
1) L'Jarius Sneed returns to action tonight for the Chiefs. He's now fully recovered from his injury a few weeks ago.
2) Tonight Amik Robertson will be wearing his old college number "21" for the first time since joining the Raiders. Here's the story on that:
When the Raiders drafted Robertson, he probably wanted the No. 21 which he wore at Lousiana Tech. But at that time it was worn by Nick Nelson. Then the team signed free agent Prince Amukamara and he took the number.
Last week, the Raiders waived Nelson with a failed physical and released Amukamara, leaving the No. 21 for the taking. And Robertson swiped it up. When the team took the field for practice Wednesday, he was donning his new/old number. The Raiders tweeted out an image of Robertson in it.
Jeff Driskel makes his biggest mark as an NFL player this week. Unfortunately he put the entire Denver Bronco QB room in COVID lockdown. They are choosing to use an emergency QB instead of forfeiting. You cannot make this stuff up.
Roger Goodell needs to be fired! Just another liberal elitist. 🤭
Report: Saints Fined $500,000, Lose Draft Pick for Not Wearing Masks During Celebration
Sources inside the NFL reportedly told ESPN that the league fined the New Orleans Saints $500,000 and a seventh-round draft pick after locker room videos surfaced of the team celebrating their 38-3 victory over Tampa Bay without wearing masks.
Locker room videos showed quarterback Jameis Winston, coach Sean Payton, and linebacker Demario Davis, among others, dancing and celebrating the win. The game marked Winston’s debut against his former team.
