Rummel 41 Hammond 0 1-0
I can usually count on my Raiders to deliver a W to salvage weekends. And after that shit-show in Provo last night, I needed this boost.

Acadiana’s game against Sulfur got cancelled yesterday. Now they will travel to play John Curtis this Sunday at noon. How exciting. Kudos to all or any of these schools finding a way to play games even on such short notice.
C. E. Byrd beat Calvary last week and leads Haughton 28-3 in the 4th
I watched the game via the John Curtis live stream. It was a good battle. JC had some ill-timed penalties that certainly hurt. They also had some big DL guys get hurt in the second half that didn’t help them. Acadiana used up a lot of clock in the second half. Lots of inside rushing by both teams. A bunch of 4th and short attempts. The game clock really rolls without all the passing. JC got into the red zone quick on a final minute drive, but final play was intercepted in the end zone.
Overall, these teams pretty evenly matched. JC certainly more capable of being successful in the passing game than Acadiana. Acadiana defense probably better overall. If these two teams were to play again then it would be 50/50 guess who wins.
Looks like Acadiana will travel up north to take on Ruston at Grambling stadium on the 23rd. That should be a battle too.

I don't know if GSU charges less than Tech or it just costs more to play at JAS.The Ruston High Bearcats will play their home games at Eddie G. Robinson Stadium at Grambling State University rather than their home stadium until the state loosens attendance restrictions on sporting events.
Grambling isn't practicing so it's available. They can let a lot more people come because of the distancing rules. At RHS, they probably couldn't hold all the parents of all the involved groups. I didn't get to go to my granddaughter's graduation last May because of the distancing rules & restricted attendance.
Glad you others were able to answer HD’s question. I didn’t really know other than guessing GSU stadium can allow for a lager limited number of fans. I was wondering why not at the Joe, but y’all answered that too.
Thanks for the answer(s), guys. It makes sense. Although I would much prefer to have all those great high school athletes (from both teams) playing in JAS instead of Grambling's stadium.
One more thing on not using JAS. As I understand it Tech's football facilities are a bubble. Only Tech players, coaches and direct staff are admitted. Letting others in would require cleaning protocols before Tech could use their own facilities. As much as Tech would like to help, I don't think we can.
RHS is lucky GSU is available. Most high schools aren't so lucky.
