It's a very important game. Let's start with the fact that LA Tech is 0-2 against Marshall since joining CUSA. And BOTH TIMES LA Tech could have won, if not for "extenuating circumstances". Just before our first meeting with Marshall --in the 2014 CUSA Championship game-- Tech fans received a nasty surprise announcement that 6 players (including 5 starters) were being suspended from the Championship game. Tech lost that one, 26-23.
And of course last year, on the eve of Tech's first ever regular season game against Marshall, Tech coaches and administrators decided to suspend 3-yr starting QB J'Mar Smith from the Marshall game as well as our next game against UAB. Tech lost both games, including the Marshall game, 31-10.
Just once I'd like to see LA Tech football "man up" against Marshall without all the DRAMA, and with all our players ready to play.
Marshall is legit good this year. They don't need much the way of help from any opponent. I would prefer to see us take them on at full strength...considering any real injury issues...but that won't happen. Of course, I would also like to see some real coaching out of Holtz...but that won't happen, either.
BTW, did anyone else think Smoke was hit with an illegal crown of the helmet, targeting, NO CALL, on our 2nd possession? They didn't show a replay of it, but seeing it live, I screamed "targeting!" Now, let me hasten to say, I am not in agreement with most of the wussy rules, including most of the targeting rules, but if there's gonna be such rules then I expect Tech to be treated the same as our opponents.
Is there a video of that hit?
The schools are doing the same dumb thing. My daughter was out for 14 days and never got it. If she had tested positive, it would only have been 10. So stupid!
I feel it is healthier for the individual to remain active and continue to do practice activities if they are not testing positive.
Locking them up inside their house is not healthy. Keeping them from the elements their body is accustomed to, and shutting their bodies down, is not very healthy for them. Its better for their immune systems to remain active.
It might be better for the person-in-isolation’s health, but it is the way that you stem the spread of the disease. Few sacrifice for the benefit of the many.
Wouldn’t you agree that isolating those that might be infected and capable of spreading the disease is better than shutting everything down?
