No one but us (BB&B) noticed. Or cares.

Can't wait to finally see Aaron Allen start and play the entire game.

Well Holtz didn't say it was going to happen but I can't fathom them starting Anthony again after the last 3 weeks. It seems obvious to me and every other Tech fan who pays attention.

I seriously doubt that Allen playing is going to make any real difference in what happens on the field in the course of the game. Remember Anthony got the starts for several weeks for a reason. Whatever that was, that was taking place during practice. We all have to remember that Allen or whoever the QB is can only do their best with the teammates Around them on the field doing their assignments at a successful level and what it is that Holtz calls for them to execute. Allen is not going to throw the sideline screen any better than Anthony did nor is he going to hand the ball off to Henderson in any different way to have him run through the hole any better than what he’s been doing.

I do have a concern with Allen maybe being somewhat less careful about throwing the ball into jeopardy. IF Holtz’s intention this week has been to start Allen, he will have been coaching him down all week, telling him we’d rather take a sack than turn the ball over.

Holtz is the centerpoint to the trouble we’re in. So, Saturday we’ll see how he’s rectified his issues. You all know the saying, “it’s hard to teach on old Dawg a new trick.” So Skip, anything new this week?

Allen is really not that much better than Anthony.

The biggest difference, the only metric that has an impact, is "Consecutive Snaps Taken Under Holtz," or CSTUH.

If CSTUH is minimized, we can minimize mental errors.

If you noticed, Holtz said about three times that the first half was the 'best game' they had played all season..... someone needs to explain to him that 2 halves make a game!

It was. Technically scored on 5/6 possessions. Pretty efficient other than 4/5 those being field goals.

And the field goals would have been fine if he could have maintained it in the second half... but we didnt. The one time it looked like we were possibly going to drive, Powell fumbled after a 13 yard catch.

And we'd only given up 6 points (and made all those field goals). All the way around, except (as Holtz said) for red zone execution and settling for FGs instead of TDs, it was our best half of football. But that second half was garbage. Any one of the phases could have saved our bacon, but all three broke down.

"We don't adjust very well. We've got to evaluate that as a staff and what we need to do better to try help our players make those adjustments and those plays." - Skip Holtz, on his teams inexplicable loss to UTSA last week.
I've got news for Skip Holtz. A lot of people on this board could have taken his football team --who had a 19-6 lead at halftime-- and won that UTSA game last week. The only person we know for sure that couldn't do it, was Holtz. LA Tech only generated 35 yards in the 2nd half of that game. That's sick! I believe that's the worst offensive performance I've EVER heard of from any LA Tech football team. That's dead weight.

Holtz needs to go. Even if he snaps out of it now, it will likely only be for a short period of time. He's done. And pretty soon, these stupid decisions he makes is going to start hurting his recruiting, as recruits wise up.

J'Mar's whole career at Tech was no one being able to fathom him starting again after his previous game for the most part, BUT Holtz did and that was all that mattered, until the decision was taken away from him in a puff of smoke.

Agree, I told a friend after the game there is only 1 maybe 2 coaches in the entire country who couldn't win that game. Holtz for sure and maybe Les Miles. Good grief, it was so obvious Allen needed to play early in that game and especially in the second half and he was completely blind. How is that even possible?
