The sales pitch from C-USA when they were added was that adding baseball was part of the deal...then Judy decided Title IX compliance was more important.
This has been the quietest "game week" of Tech football that I can remember. Does anybody know ANYTHING about UNT? How good are they this year? Are they going to try to run the ball down our throats? Or, are they going to be a "passing team" like years past? Does anybody know anything about UNT's style of play this year?
Lotta offense (as you'd expect). Two different QBs have played, but unlike us their guys have very different skills. One very much will run, the other more of a passer.
Their D has been pretty bad, but they've played some high powered offenses and had a lot of guys out in those games (and emphasize offense) so all that ought to be factored.

Looks like they played real well against Middle Tennessee. If I did my math right, it looks like UNT is averaging 39.2 points per game. Wow! I hope our defense is ready for this. Can our offense keep up?

Denton beat writer was on BTB radio this week (I catch it on the podcast) and said that the running QB went in and the Blue Raiders had no plan for his skill set. Hopefully (and I think Holtz mentioned preparing for two very different QB styles in one of his things I saw) we'll be better prepared. I think they have one really good WR we'll have to watch out for as well.
It's pretty late in the season for our running game to suddenly kick in and be effective, but it has been an odd season with lots of OL shuffling - so maybe it turns a corner. Our D has been playing well, if we could slow the game some with a little bit of running efficiency, that would help I'd think. We can win a shoot-out with them, but limiting their possessions would be fine, too.

#LATech's game at North Texas has been postponed due to COVID-19 related issues within UNT's football program.
Teams and C-USA are working on rescheduling the game the week of Saturday, Dec. 5.
