Glad to see the Trump Team has gone public with what their plans were for getting out of Afghanistan. It's pretty much like I had speculated.
Also, they addressed the reasons for not doing so in his first four years, and in fact, might have delayed for another year if things were not clicking as planned/hoped. I took that to mean the Afghan army and government not performing to expectations. Keep in mind there were/are a lot of people, including some in congress and on the Joint Chiefs of Staff, who did not want us to get out at all. Trump's spokesman addressed that too as part of the reasons for still being there.
That said, I reiterate, there was going to be a certain amount of mess no matter who was POTUS. That's the nature of the animals moooslim extremists are, and especially in Afghanistan with its history.
