It’s not because there aren’t people to fill the jobs. I know multiple business owners locally who have job openings for starter positions. No experience required. People interview and immediately demand $20/hour. It’s more financially feasible for them to continue on without the help than it is to train someone who quits 3 months later because they are, “so stressed out.”
Most Americans have decided they want a living wage.
For a 16 year old living at home, $11/hour is more than enough. Just think if they work and get some experience when they are at home how well they can do in college while splitting rent with 3-4 others. Once they are out of school, they graduate from those starter jobs to real jobs. And they graduate with work experience, hopefully less debt, and maybe a little work ethic.
In his press conference, Biden opened the door for conservatives to tell the country what they are in favor of. Hopefully, they take the opportunity to explain they want current laws to be enforced far more than they want to change anything. Are conservative leaders going to be asleep at the wheel concerning this?
Also, border encounters up 171% in December. 55,000 released in the states. Why do we have laws again?
This should at least slow down the false narrative on unemployment which is actually closer to 9% if you factor in those not actively seeking work.

VP Harris's warning to Russia regarding Ukraine.. something to the effect that this admin "Respects and highly values the sovereignty of nations and it's borders".. Oh the irony.. I can't even..
