Wonder how all the green energy people expect us to get goods across the country if trains can no longer operate? How are people going to travel across the country or the globe for business or leisure if boats and planes can’t operate? The technology is decades away from being cost efficient and dependable enough to replace fossil fuels. R&D is good, but we shouldn’t start switching until we know that an EV truck can make it the same 460 miles with a load in any weather as my truck does and cost the same amount.

No serious person is advocating that. People are advocating speeding the transition, not flipping a switch and ending fossil fuels. That is fringe stuff, like believing Trump won.

Naturally I'll keep an ICE generator on hand so I can charge the thing and have the freedom to travel during brown outs and black outs when our grid shuts down from storms or being hacked by evil leftists or the Chinese (same thing, really).
That will be here before you know it.

Oh, I forgot to include that we could completely cut our emissions to zero and it won’t make a difference at all. As long as China and India don’t care. The rest the worlds efforts don’t matter at all.

It would only make a difference in how well we can compete with the nations taking our opportunities and destroying our middle class.

    Biden did advocate it.

    And Trump did win.

Had you said fringe stuff like believing Trump colluded with the Russians or Trump was not spied upon or cloth masks stop the spread of COVID or that Biden is actually a functioning human being or that our border is secure, that might have made more sense. If you study on it and get out of your echo chamber you might find the truth one day.

US is responsible for 20% of CO2 that has been emitted. China is 11%.

By using our economic power that we developed, in large part to emitting CO2, we can actually continue to get stronger by leading the transition.

Biden’s “plan” called for net zero emissions by 2050. Hardly flipping a switch.

    You are very much fringe.

I support using so-called "green" energy where it is practical and economically feasible. I support ANY form of energy production driven by the private sector and is not some stupid guvmint program/mandate. There is an inescapable INCONVENIENT TRUTH and that is all forms of energy come with both pros and cons, it's a see-saw, one side goes up (pros) and the other side goes down (cons). "Green" energy is always presented in the "there are only pros" light. Most of us, whose heads are not buried in the libtard propaganda sand, know this. Too many of the general public don't and only "know" what the libtards want them to know.

But, yeah, use solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, WAVE, wind anywhere it makes economical sense.

Well, if the government spent half as much on renewables as it has on infrastructure and direct subsidy for the hydrocarbon economy, the economics of the competition might be different.

Absolutely. We need more Solyndra type investments. Worked like a charm.

Looks like China is responsible for over 29% of the worlds total carbon emissions. US is responsible for just over 14%. India is third at 7%. My mistake in assuming they were BOTH worse than US. However. The more we move to clean burning natural gas. We will be closer to third place.

France is a developed, industrial country yet they don't appear in that top 13. That's because they rely a lot on nuke energy. Germany does too, which is why they are at 2.17% even while being the biggest industrial power in Europe.

    Here ya go...

Build more nuclear power plants to supply major cities and industrial hubs, can generate power to also recharge EVs and EV public transportation. And! use more natural gas, it's the cleanest of the fossil fuels. There will always be a need for oil...not just for gasoline but for many other petroleum-based products...but we can minimize its use (and coal) in both factories and in ICEs.

BUT! the libtards will go bonkers over the building of more nuke power plants, so scratch that idea...
