We should have a betting pool each week on how many scheduled games get played.

It's already Thursday, so we're in good shape for this week.

    Over/Under at what 6? 5.5?

ECU tried to hang in there against Cincinnati early, but at half it is Cincy 35-10. Cincy's QB has 3 TD's and 3 incompletions.

As other teams keep postponing and cancelling games Cincinnati keeps rolling along, tonight beating ECU 55-17. Playoff busting Cincinnati now has a tough three game road trip at UCF, at Temple and at Tulsa. Win those three and the AAC championship game and Cincy deserves a playoff spot.

Funny how most of the really good teams just keep on playing a lot of games, and racking up the wins, no excuses needed.

#1 Alabama - 6-0 (The recent cancellation against LSU was supposedly due to an outbreak of COVID within the LSU program.)
    #2 Notre Dame - 8-0
    #7 Cincinnati - 7-0
    #8 BYU - 8-0
    #15 Coastal Carolina - 7-0
    #16 Marshall - 7-0

    #22 Liberty - 8-0

and then there's the teams who are not undefeated, but have played a lot of games, and are having really good seasons nonetheless:

    Miami, FL - 7-1
    Clemson - 7-1
    ULL - 7-1
    Appy St - 6-1

I could list more teams, but you guys get the picture. The REALLY GOOD football teams are playing football every week. And winning. The bad teams (e.g., LSU) and the teams struggling with wins & losses (e.g., LA Tech), are strategically cancelling and postponing games. That's just a sad fact.

Yep to win you gotta play.

Also disappointed no movement in the Top 11 of the coaches poll this morning. Of course, the only poll that matters start in a few days on the 24th.

Liberty and Coastal Carolina (schedules notwithstanding) being ranked and undefeated ought to have every piddling "aw shucks" barely-good-enough team like Tech taking notes.

Those schools must have much more access to talent. It can't be coaching.

I hear they've got 5 star blue chips breaking down the doors to sign with schools that didn't exist when they were freshmen in highschool!

    only explanation

I'd settle for seeing them in a game against BYU.

Any playoff involving any Big 10 team (and it will) is beyond bogus.

That would be a slap in the face to play BYU. They clearly want a playoff spot and might well deserve it. If not that a NYD game against a very good P5 should be their reward.

BYU is as good as Cincy IMO. Certainly not a slap in the face...Indiana is a slap in the face.

BYU might be a fun game to watch but not what Cincy wants or deserves, if they go undefeated. If the G5 is ever to break into a four team playoff, this is the year.
