I've heard a rumor that we might be matched up with ULL in the New Orleans Bowl. Have yall heard anything? I'd love to watch us play them! We might lose but I'd love to see it anyway.

The Bowl game is on a Wednesday after they play in SBC championship on a Saturday. Will not happen in NOLA Bowl.
The SBC announced today that the 2020 Sun Belt Conference Football Championship Game will be played on Saturday, December 19. The game will be broadcast on ESPN or ESPN2 and a time for the game will be announced at a later date.
The 2020 New Orleans Bowl is a college football bowl game that is scheduled to be played on December 23, 2020, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EST (2:30 p.m. local CST) on ESPN.
I feel like this game is predicted every year for the whole season (at least for the last several years when we've both been headed towards bowl eligibility). If you're just running down the list of schools with likely winning records and you see the NO Bowl is CUSA/SB I think every national writer just assumes that's the match up and moves on. I don't blame them for that, but I think there are any number of reasons why it hasn't worked out in the past and probably won't this year.
I'm not familiar with the Sun Belt's contractual obligations to the New Orleans Bowl. Does anybody know the details?

On a related topic, I don't see any benefit for Marshall to play a conference championship game this year. Wouldn't be surprised if it is canceled for safety precautions due to the virus. The same could be said of Coastal?

Playoffs!? Are you kidding me...playoffs??? - Jim Mora
I feel the same way about Tech's bowl prospects.
With the amount of conference games being cancelled on a weekly basis and the uptick in virus cases being reported I think many bowl games will be cancelled this year. I am wandering about basketball season now.
Some bowls have already cancelled, and I am sure most of the others will follow suit when teams they have invited start checking out. As for us, I agree, we are done...that's not to say Tech won't play again, perhaps in a bowl. But, we are done...the Tech football program just doesn't know it yet.
Look at the bright side! We haven't lost a game in a month!
