Game could be cancelled if Tech gets a conference home game
What’s crazy is there’s a pretty good chance that we’ll play 3 straight games in the Metroplex. I think about 1/2 the C-USA bowls available are in DFW area
Stupid but serious question. If we are not eligible for the CUSA conference championship, would it be allowed to play another game that weekend?
Is this the work of our new AD? If it is, he's just as stupid as the guy who just left.
If Wood can come up with a home game in place of TCU it works for me. The seniors get a final home game and some deserved recognition. Other than that, it's been a screwed up year and the loyal dawgs that haven't opted out want to play ball. I hope they kick some ass!

My how times have changed. There was a day when we would have jumped at playing TCU in a regular season game. Now we're too good for that? We haven't played in a month. I would imagine the team and coaches are frustrated and ready to play. It's a shame it isn't in Ruston, but these players deserve a chance to play. This season is so screwed up...let'em play and lets hope we can stay on the field with them.
I wouldn’t matter to me if we played Clemson, Bama, and TCU or Stony Brook, Vagisil State, and Ruston Sr High.....this team needs to play as many games as possible this year against anyone willing if it is going to get better. We need our players to get as much real game play as possible.
HD: when things are "normal" again, I would love for Tech to travel up to South Bend for a game. I will be there for that one!
As for this TCU game, I think it makes more sense to schedule a conference game, if possible, and maybe we tried and it just couldn't be pulled off, OR! we scheduled a "win." Now, one might say, well, maybe the Dawgs will beat TCU. Of course, I hope so. But then again, once scheduled, I had hoped we wouldn't get smashed by BYU...we all saw how far that hope got us. I just don't see how losing to TCU, falling to 4-4, is gonna help our situation. But, maybe one of you geniuses can explain that...
I actually, just before kickoff, had flashes of Hey! maybe the Dawgs will surprise me and win, or at least actually compete! But then that BYU game started... So, if this game is played, I will again, have that measure of HOPE the Dawgs can pull it off.
But, at this point in this messed-up season, a much easier opponent makes more sense to me. It has been 5 weeks since we played. It's not that TCU is enjoying some great season. They are 4-4 with a loss to Iowa State, who got pummeled by ULL! But...there are still easier opponents out there we could be playing IF the objective is to simply get the team back on the field, in some prep toward playing a bowl game. That's my point.
All that said....Go Dawgs, beat dem Frogs!
