A week ago I said we probably would not play in bowl this season. I am rethinking that and believe we will bowling.

We need a decent showing against TCU and win. If we lose, it can’t be a 35-7 type loss.

Okay LSU is currently sitting at 3-5 with two games remaining. Those games are at #6 Florida this Saturday and Ole Miss visits Baton Rouge the following Saturday. I think the best they finish the regular season is 4-6, in theory they could be 5-5 but doubtful.

Today they announced more self-imposed sanctions due to the Level 3 violations relating to OBJ "making it rain" after the national championship game. You ready for this..... No bowl game this year!!

With their crappy losing season and this COVID mess that is no penalty whatsoever!! Total LSU BS!!

    BEAKING NEWS....

ULM announces self imposed, one-year bowl ban for this football season for any violations that may occur in the future.

Not a LSU fan at all. They were projected for the Outback Bowl played in January by ESPN and of course other bowls. Which is a mute point now. The quote "6 win rule" is off the table with basically anyone eligible for an invitation with tie-ins detecting different matchups. During our postgame show following last Thursdays game, dicussions suggested we would be in one. But with Covid, who really knows.

The projections on ESPN and CBSSports have us in the NOLA Bowl against ULL. I watched them play App State. They looked good (when they weren't long snapping). That would be a tough game. ULL would love nothing more than to break our streak.

I don’t see them playing on a Wednesday after playing in championship on Saturday

I do hope we get something better than the New Orleans Bowl. That always feels like a scrimmage leading up to the Sugar Bowl. ULL is very very good this year. I might go so far to say it is there best team in their history. My hope is that we get the Frisco Bowl and get some P5 that has a name. Beating a P5 team that is not very good is better than beating a very good G5 team. It just gets more press and that is what we need to keep building and recruiting.

LSU has self-imposed a bowl ban, due to NCAA investigations. That's the reason given.

Still a meaningless gesture and a joke to put in a bowl ban with a losing record and so many players opting out. Its almost like its satire. The NCAA should see through this easily, but we know how that will probably go.

Not almost, it is satire. Total LSU BS!

Might not be the last team to do this. With all the hassles of COVID, why bother to play in some participation trophy type bowl game? Since the advent of the play-off, bowls have been diminished anyway. Heck each year a few dozen of the best players opt-out of a kind of meaningless bowl game.
