Seeing that there will be probably attendance restrictions and no spirit squad/band, why have it at the Star? They should move it to the Comerica Center (formerly Dr Pepper Arena) and Frisco Conference Center. Both facilities are next door to each other.

The G League has plans to have a 2021 season at some point. The Texas Legends are the major tenant of the Comerica Center.

Having the tournament in one building actually makes more sense than splitting it into two buildings. Protocols are almost certainly going to have to be enforced, and that can be done more efficiently in one site instead of in two indirectly connected sites. I'm sure it would be easier for outside parties including broadcast partners as well at the Ford Center.
