It came as no surprise that the matchup between Louisiana Tech and Marshall went down to the wire to decide a victor in the Conference USA opener. And it was the Bulldogs who pulled away from the Thundering Herd in the final minutes, winning 75-68 on Friday night inside the Thomas Assembly Center on Karl Malone Court.

One thing that was obvious to me last night was that Tech needs to play faster. Gotta get up and down the court. Tech's half court game wasn't working last night. Marshall has some big players who really gave us trouble with their length when we tried to play a half court game. IMO, we gotta speed things up tonight.

It's a game we should have won. We did, but we've lost this game so many times in the past. Not always against Marshall, but against others when we should but we don't. Our coach actually made adjustments last night. That's something Mike White rarely if ever did.
