Maybe Gordon is saving it for the last few minutes like last week. I hope.
Not looking like it's going to happen tonight.
Going to take some clanks from the line by UTEP.
82-74 Miners.
Big chance blown.
This was a BAD loss. UTEP is a BAD BASKETBALL team.
I still don't know how guys that are 6'5, 6'8 and 6'9, etc... can miss so many easy, high percentage, shots inside the paint. It was just ugly, ugly, basketball from the Dawgs.
Should win tomorrow. But then, should have won tonight. But you can’t win ‘em all.
So it can be done, but not by Tech this season.Bill Russell and the 1956 San Francisco Dons were the first NCAA Division I men’s college basketball team to finish the year undefeated with an NCAA tournament national championship.
Over the course of the next 20 seasons, six other teams would go on to end the year unblemished. But not one squad has completed the elusive perfect season since Bobby Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers did so in 1976.
Apples and oranges. You totally changed the subject. Nobody --especially me-- said anything about LA Tech going undefeated in basketball. What I said was that UTEP is a bad basketball team, and that this was a BAD LOSS. And it was. LA Tech should be good enough to NOT lose to that BAD of a basketball team. That's a totally different subject from great teams going undefeated.
Let me help you with this, Dorm Fridge.
The better analogy would have been to show me evidence of Bill Russel and his national champion San Francisco Dons losing a conference game to a 6-6 team, that's probably going to finish in the conference cellar. That's what LA Tech achieved tonight.
The funniest part is, the back-to-back national champion San Francisco Dons didn't loose a single conference game in either of those two championship years.
Other Saturday results completed.
Charlotte wins over FAU today in Boca to split the weekend.
UTSA completes a sweep over USM in San Antonio.
Marshall puts the broom to FIU in Miami.
WKU opens its Saturday-Sunday series 82-67 over MT in Murfreesboro. Game 2 is Sunday at 1:00 CT on CBSSN.
UAB completes the sweep of shorthanded Rice in Birmingham.
Much better intensity to start tonight.
Need to stop turning the ball over.
And Pemberton can't buy one early.
Looking pretty good so far. Keep it up.
