Agreed. The Brooke S. experiment is a failure. Every year it's the exact same thing. Will struggle to finish above .500. Very inconsistent, which is a reflection of coaching, or the lack of it. And it's the same things: lousy FT shooting, (yes they did shoot 80% yesterday from the FT line, which is good), missing layups! Missing layups and chippy shots! Stupid unforced turnovers! Have not had good guards under Brooke...well, with one exception, name escapes me, but even she was prone to slumps and turnovers. We have no guards worth a damn on this year's team. The team, the players, are lazy. Lack that drive to WANT TO WIN!
But, Brooke runs a clean program and WBB doesn't make money anyway, even in non-virus years. So...
Is this a case where we just need better "ball handlers" at the guard positions? With all the turnovers, it makes me question whether we just don't have guards who can handle the ball well (e.g., dribble, pass, etc...).
This bunch is the worst set of guards in...well, all of Techster history, IMO.
Exactly why I said the basketball IQ on this team isn't good. Guards have to be the high-basketball IQ players on the floor, but they aren't for Tech.
