Believing what you believe is insanity without a cure (solution).
You define white guilt.
We have been over this ground over and over. Show me the law that says “specifically people of color..........”. I will fight that law with you. Just because an illegal activity seems to impact one portion of the population more than another doesn’t make it systemic racism. It might just mean that particular illegal activity or activities is/are more prevalent in some communities. See the upstanding areas of our major metro areas as exhibit A.
I also would like to see where people like Larry Elder and Thomas Sowell are wrong. Those are the opinions I agree with that you are arguing against.
Did David Duke die? He is still a Republican, right?
Well, Ray is going back a 150 years to tie Southern ex-Confed Democrats to the KKK. We all know what party has the KKK in its ranks now.
We know that the KKK, particularly chapters formed in the early 60s who threw their support behind Goldwater, played a major role in the South becoming Republican.
Selective and manipulative history of the leftists cancel culture.
Glad we have "the adults" running things. They don't know where they stand on anything other than doing 180s of bad orange man.
i don't see anyone on this thread willing to try to understand the other side's point of view before criticizing it. clearly, there are people who have legitimate reasons for wanting to improve voter access. clearly, people who oppose a particular means of improving voter access are not necessarily wanting to suppress minority voters. we are so quick to assign motives to others.
for my part, i would challenge the notion that wanting fewer people to vote is unamerican. i want people who are well informed and responsible to vote. i don't want people voting because they think a particular party is evil and the other party will save them from that wickedness. i want everyone to be well informed or responsible, but clearly that will never be the case. we should certainly make sure that any obstacles to vote don't make it more difficult for any particular group of people, but making it "easy" to vote doesn't have to be the answer.
There are no obstacles to vote.
Waiting in line is not an obstacle. (Walmart)
Going out in bad weather is not an obstacle. (Walmart)
Going out in public during an overblown pandemic is not an obstacle. (Walmart)
If only the lines in the predominantly white areas were as long as the lines in the predominantly black areas, you might have a point. Alas, the real goal of Republicans in this regard is to take measures that will disproportionately impact the black vote.
We had record turnout of voters in this election without any fraud of significance - at least that is what the FBI and others that have looked at it conclude. If anything, this goes to show that we don’t need further voting obstacles, yet there are record numbers of state bills/measures to create new obstacles. All because Republicans are not happy with the outcome when there is voter turnout.
You guys can keep trying to fight this culture war until you die, but America is moving on.
