The commie Dems want America to be just like Russia, China, Cuba and N. Korea. Period! Remember, they always falsely accuse conservatives of doing exactly what they the Dems themselves are actually manipulating to create.

It is unconstitutional, but then this is the democraps doing it, the masters of unconstitutionalism. Elections are left to, and governed by the states...and of course by the dems in strategic precincts where they steal elections. They just want to make it possible to steal elections across the nation.

I don't think it matters whether the ideas are good or not. It isn't the jurisdiction of the federal government to tell states how they run their elections. I think this gets hammered in the supreme court and not just because it leans conservative. It might be an overwhelming decision. This whole bit of legislation is virtue signaling. Period.

The same supreme court that refused to handle the cases saying that the states had not followed the laws passed by the legislatures in a number of states last election (this is unconstitutional)? Don't expect the supreme court to enforce the constitution, either.

Well, that was because Texas didn’t have standing to sue other states for allegedly not following their own constitution. That was clear from the outset.

The SC does clearly have the authority to hear a state challenge the constitutionality of a federal law that allegedly injures the state filing the lawsuit.

Republicans are doing everything they can to reduce voter turnout. It is really very unAmerican when you think about it.

Example, making it a crime to hand out water to voters in Georgia.

Congress really needs to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. That is the best solution to all this.

Re: HR-1 - End of US as we know it

It is really very simple...one vote for each eligible, US citizen, period! And you can pretty much assure that with Voter ID requirements and VERY limited mail-in ballots, such as the old tried and true absentee voting.

Except for isolated hanky-panky among very specific groups, and a few individuals, LOUISIANA HAS IT RIGHT. That moron JBE (D) won the guvnarship in a Red State, but there were reasons for it, and the analysis of those elections indicate what happened. Yeah, this second go-around there appears to have been some meddling with mail-in ballots, but everything I have seen in the way of evidence indicates JBE would have won re-election anyway, w/o those VERY questionable votes. Some of those votes were thrown out by the SOS office.

Why is it that poor, dumb, WORST SCHOOLS IN AMERICA Louisiana can conduct elections fairly, using VOTER ID...with poverty, with elderly, with a population nearly 50% black, because after all, we hear that requiring VOTER ID is racist because blacks are incapable of securing proper ID. Not in Louisiana!

Voting by mail is NOT "turnout".

Exercising the "right" to vote should be more difficult, not easier.

Why should it be more difficult? That is ridiculous.

I don’t necessarily agree PD. It should not be “hard” to vote. Common sense says that it isn’t. Between early voting in person, legit absentee for valid reason, and in person day of, it’s not hard. You just have to try a little.

Based on your logic there should be no limitations to voting including age or citizenship.

I agree, but that's not what the left says. The easier it is to vote, the less meaningful the vote becomes.

Your logic has no limits. Felons deserve to vote as well right?
