So this is a "weather related" cancellation? The weather in Murfreesboro, TN, is supposed to be 39 degrees and sunny on Saturday, and 54 degrees and sunny on Sunday.

My wife and I have two older friends --a couple in their early 70's-- who drove 7 hours down to our house in Texas yesterday (Thursday) from Kansas City, MO. They said the sun was out, and the roads were in perfect condition all the way.

Serious question, what does the outside temperature and the road conditions have to be before LA Tech & MTSU can play an indoor basketball game? Just asking for a friend.

I-20 is (was?) shutdown from Monroe to Shreveport (at least westbound)

I heard a truck jack-knifed on the river bridge in Bossier yesterday afternoon/evening. I have found that driving at night can get a little hairy. Driving during the day has not been an issue at all.

Long-haul westbound traffic to Shreveport is being detoured to Alexandria at US 165 in Monroe or at US 167 in Ruston. Longer haul westbound traffic is being sent down to I-10 at Lake Charles.

I-20 eastbound from Shreveport isn't without issues today. Should be much better by tomorrow afternoon.

I don't understand why the Sunday game could not be played, at least. It should be fine today.

With any luck the Rice series will be cancelled too. For the Techsters, I mean. I think our MBB team has a good chance against Rice.

Well think of it this way, MTSU may have given us wins, but their RPI is 300 with a net in the 280's. I hate not listening to basketball, but it might be for the best.

. Does RPI even matter for the women this year? We need wins, because we still would have to win the tournament for any type of postseason. Seeding for our conference tournament is the only way to have a chance.
