Diamond Dogs Open New Stadium With Three-Game Series Against Southern

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech's baseball team will play its first home game on campus in 675 days when the Diamond Dogs open a three-game series against Southern on Friday evening. The 'Dogs are scheduled to host the Jaguars for games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the new J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.

About 200 or so beyond left field did. We know it won't be ready early next week. Hopefully it will be for McNeese series.
Stream itself was fine. Video quality was below par since it was a stationary one-camera setup in the radio booth. Light reflection from the glass made it hard to see the field. Daytime games shouldn't have that issue, and hopefully the permanent setup will be multiple cameras with better angles.
I wonder how the new stadium lights look.
Tech has absolutely no appreciation for fans in the stands otherwise they’d make far different decisions than what they’ve been doing in recent years. I’m not talking solely about baseball. Their stupidity began with football now it’s just metastasized to baseball. Right now it appears to me that the new AD Woods hasn’t yet grasped that the foundation of Tech’s athletic programs is crumbling away. Without fans in the stands all of Tech sports will wither away and die. For the players and coaches, their greatest motivation is cheering fans, second to that are boos... don’t doubt it. If they’re not encouraged one way or the other they’ll gradually stop making the effort to succeed.

Thus far Woods is a big dud. He's just here to draw a check while he shops around for another job.
That's what it seems like to me. LA Tech appears to be Woods' temporary parking spot.
Was there any kind of pre-game ceremony last night to acknowledge (or honor) our first game in the new stadium? Or maybe to acknowledge the Tech players who returned for a 5th year? Or to acknowledge the construction workers who busted their ass in bad weather to finish the stadium on time so we could play last night?
LA Tech Athletics has a lot of people that we could be thanking.
Hopefully Dr. Woods will give the construction workers and their families free game tickets to at least a handful of games this season. THAT'S how you build brand loyalty. But if these efforts are happening on Woods' watch, I'm not hearing about 'em.
Tech is a parking lot with a tent city in the corner full of guys who can't hold down a job. Most people come and go but the people you want to leave aint.
