Refresh my memory, what version of BB&B is this?

I know there was a big migration in like 2004, and in the way back days a couple of versions before that one that came over to this version.

Is this BB&B 4.0? 3.0?

Can one of you original founders give us the timeline again?

This is at least the 3rd website - original Dawgbytes from Geocities, Delphi Forums & LaTechBBB.com

The Original site was created in September of Tim Rattays first year. It was called "Dawgbytes" and basically featured links to tech related articles and opposing team websites. Probably sometime that year a message board was launched pre-Delphi for a short time before I discovered the Delphi application. So my guess on the Delphi is around 1998. 13 years.

He wants to post pics hosted locally on latechbbb (which you could at one point, uploading a pic to bbb), that doesn't work. After we migrated, things like uploading pics or searching for thread does not work.

When attempting to upload a pic on a reply, you get "Upload of file failed".


I'm posting pics hosted from different sites.

Example: go to latechbbb > reply to a thread > click insert image > click from URL > enter URL > uncheck Retrieve remote file and reference locally > click OK

If you post your pics like via Twitter or Facebook (or any other site), you can prob drag and drop your photos in the reply box on BBB.

You can get the url address of the image and go the longer route.

1. Click Reply
2. Click Insert Image
3. Click "From URL" tab
4. Enter the url of the image: example, https://dbukjj6eu5tsf.cloudfront.net...gin_footer.png
5. Uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" checkbox
6. Click OK
