No. 21 Baseball Hosts ULM for Tuesday Night Matchup

Was at the ballgame last, my first in a very long time. We were in the tail gating area but the best seats to me were in right field (no netting blocking your view).

Cade started and pitched well but they pulled him after 3 innings, I assume to save his arm for this weekend. ULM's starting pitcher could not find the plate. I think he walked three or four and hit one before they pulled him. Some of his throws looked liked Obama throwing out the first pitch.

Dawg hitting was anemic. Overall I think it was hard for anyone to get into a rhythm with all the pitching changes and stoppages. Do they always stop play when the train rolls through? Tech students were funny razing the ULM players in the pitcher warm-up area. They finally got someone to come over and run them off.

Stadium looked great.

How many days of rest do pitchers need? I know it's probably determine on how many throws.

Normal is 6 or 7. Of course relievers can go sooner than that.

That's kinda on Dave isn't it? I mean, it can't be that hard to find a young sports journalism major who wants to apprentice by learning from the best!

We have had several nice plays throwing out runners a home plate the last week or so. Well done. Hopefully fewer teams will be willing to test the arms of our OF's.
