But Tech answers as Young comes through with an RBI double to put Tech back ahead 5-4. Bates 2-out bloop single drives in Young to make it 6-4 Tech after 6.

Ray opened the inning by not making the routine play. Tech is definitely not "dominating the routine plays" tonight.

Air started going out of this one as soon as Gibson was lifted.
Brantley and Page batting back-to-back creates a huge nothing hole in the order. And then Hasler singles and Ray walks (10th Tech walk), but there are already 2 out. Wild pitch moves the runners up with Young batting.
Young doubles off the wall to put Tech back up 8-7. 2-out magic again. Wells singles to drive in Young to make it 9-7 Tech after 7.
A little of that air that went out just got pumped back in, but is it enough?
Griffen comes in to get a double play ball to end the ULM 8th with Tech still up 9-7.
