Wow just wow we won on the scoreboard but lost everywhere else. I will say we took advantage of what we were given but wow where were the bats?
Also, ULM is not a bad team this year.
Lol, the post game radio broadcast technology and interview with Burroughs was as pathetic as the game was. Tech is an absolute joke in getting the little things right.
Wonder how tough it is to be aggressive at the plate when we took 7-8 walks and 4 HBP’s? Wonder how other teams do when they basically take for 3-4 innings because the pitcher can throw it in a lake?
A new article has been posted on www.latechsports.com:
RUSTON, La. – No. 21 Louisiana Tech used a seventh-inning rally to defeat ULM 9-7 on Tuesday night at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The Bulldogs came from behind in their second consecutive game to extend their winning streak to six in-a-row.

Fed, made a horrible call by waving him home. First out at home plate is something our coach often did in his first four years at Tech, but has not done this year. That change in coaching style has saved us several runs and won us at least a couple of games.
Probably a little of both in Ruston, but its ALL Learfield on the road.
Burroughs is going to have to make some changes. I know we have a couple of guys banged up, but we also have guys on the bench who deserve a chance to play when starters are batting below .200 and making errors.
Well, a win is a win is a win, and especially in baseball, any win is a good win. (I mentioned "win" FIVE times in one sentence!) And after being ranked...we won! I'm impressed.
Now, it's time to get down to business. HUGE series to open CUSA play in H'burg. We'll know a lot more about this team by the end of the weekend.
Go Diamond Dawgs!
Sat here in Houston listening to another great call by Dave. (I love his use of the crowd mic!)
The 15-minute connection session to Lane postgame was disappointing.(Dave can only go over the box score so many times killing time.)
It’s not like through Tech football and baseball broadcasts these years at the Joe and Shack these connection sessions should be a breeze.
When Lane finally WALKED INTO THE PRESSBOX STUDIO (thank God for the ADA-compliant elevators) Dave apologized to Lane. Uh, they both should be apologizing to the listening fans. When I listen to games (no, I’m not at all of them), the postgame interviews are a great part of the broadcasts.
Football has an on-site engineer to assist the broadcasts. On baseball Dave is mainly a one-man band, which he’s used to all these years in baseball.
We can do better, encouraging Learfield.

We have a long way to go with the production if our games (including camera people finding the ball and the correct fielder) but it’s nice that we have a lot more options in the boonies these days since decent internet us finally trickling in.
Need someone who can monitor the audio output. Sucks that Dave is doing it all.
