Great man! Had the pleasure of sitting 1 row in front of him for over 20 years.
Awe, I really hate to see him go. Mr. Aillet was a man connected to a ton of LA Tech Bulldog history. And one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Godspeed to Mr. Aillet and his family.
He was a LaTech man and a great man for college football.

I knew Bobby "IA" as a teen ager. We were in the same BSA "45" . Played the game Flag on the lawn of the Original court house. He was quite an athlete, football, bb, swimming {diver} and baseball. Graduated from RHS in '45 and was accepted to Naval Academy played f/b. Returned to Tech in '47. In 63/64 while watching a SEC game (Montgomery, Ala) on TV I saw this official walking away from the camera on the field I said to my wife that must be Bobby IA. He was soooo bow legged. He and Ed Jolly (his blocking back ND single wing offence) were partners in business. He like his father were both great people. He will be missed but he left quite a legacy.
He was one of the top SEC white hats in the league's formative modern years (1970s-90s). Seemed like he was always on TV at 2:30 pm Saturdays.
