Always good to get a sweep, especially a four-game one. I doubt Rice will stay down this far for very long, but for 2021 they truly suck.

Small impact but Arkansas win would be better. -1.3 net RPI points if Arkansas wins and -11.9 if Ole Miss wins. 1 point equals .00001 in the RPI percentage.
Congratulations Tech on a very impressive series. 4-0 is good stuff even against a down Rice team. Payback for them kicking our butt so many times is absolutely great stuff. Hopefully 2021 will mark a turn around in this conference with LA Tech becoming the perennial top Dawg!
Secondly I want to say I like seeing backup players making contributions to the team effort. Those bits and pieces are going to help more and more this year and even more so next year when our senior heavy team moves on.
The one glaring thing Tech has to work on right now as in at tomorrow’s practice is defending stealing bases. You can bet USM is going to work any advantage they can find and we can’t afford to pretty much give up uncontested advanced bases. We’ve got to improve this right now!

One thing to consider before next weekend is that USM has a Tuesday home game with South Alabama. USA has beaten USM twice already this year in Mobile.
Yes we need USM to spend some pitching but they will likely spread it out among several. They need a 2-2 split with us more than a single USA win.
In the postgame interview, Berry said that USM's mandatory off day is Wednesday before they travel on Thursday.
