Brilliant tactics by Ukrainian general traps 25,000 Russian soldiers in a kill box. The Russkies are at the mercy of the Ukrans who could systematically kill every one of them. More than likely the trapped Russkies will do what others have done...surrender. US military observers watched as the trap was set and the Russians took the bait. "Brilliant" is how military pundits describe it.

    Putin is losing.

    More news...

Pro-Moscow leaders in the breakaway provinces of Luhansk and Donetsk are calling for a referendum to officially, formally vote to be annexed by Russia. This is seen as a last-ditch, desperate move by the separatists as it is now obvious to everyone Putin will not be able to hold the eastern provinces militarily. While Putin may be in favor of such a vote, most of his advisors and his political opponents domestically are not keen on supporting such a move.

Meanwhile, Russian officials are evacuating border towns on the Russian side of the border as the war has gotten too close for comfort. Retreating, beaten Russkie forces have crossed back into Russia, closely pursued by victorious Ukran forces. In most of the cases the Ukrans have not crossed the border (yet) with ground troops but are attacking Russian units with artillery, drone, and aircraft attacks. Russian civilians have been put in harm's way, thus the evacuations.

    Putin is losing.

Just a matter of time before some leftist elitist Biden voters comes to the defense of Russia. I'm guessing we'll here from some of our idiot democrat congresspeeps soon.

Biden voters and congressmen will most likely follow their senile leader to protect his Ukrainian money laundering operation.

Putin has authorized a 1% mobilization. Certainly seems like he is either not taking this war seriously or relying too much on winter, which is not here yet, to freeze Europe into removing their support. Those hoping for a coup in Moscow will probably not like what happens afterwards.

Donetsk and Luhansk are preparing for yet another secession referendum and Russia will probably accept it this time since the Minsk Accords are old history at this point.

Putin calling up reserves. On paper there are about 300,000 reservists, but in practice military pundits say Putin will be lucky if he can effectively deploy a fraction of that, maybe 30,000 in a best-case scenario. And then it is very questionable how effective they will be. Most of these reservists have been out of active duty for 3-5 years, and some even longer. If sent as small groups, battalion or even brigade levels, they will probably just surrender without firing a shot. Russian military leaders, their generals, are saying these reservist call-ups will not be deployed to Ukraine but rather to other parts of Russia freeing up regular units to be sent to Ukraine. This would greatly weaken, and put at risk, other "hot spots" such as in Chechyna and Kazakhstan where anti-Putin/anti-Russian sentiment runs high.

    Putin is losing.

More than 5,000 Russkie troops are surrounded and trapped in the city of Lyman in Donetsk.

Russian nuclear sub, the K-329 Belgorod, with advanced nukes, including torpedoes that can travel hundreds of miles and create a tsunami with a well-placed detonation, has vanished. Western sources say the Belgorod made an unexpected departure from its Artic base and has disappeared.

Some officials fear that some extremist Putinites are on a mission to create havoc. But I lean toward this being a real case of The Hunt for the Red October. Defectors tired of Putin's crapola and they hijacked the sub with intentions of surrendering it to NATO forces (or the US or some other good nation). Let's hope I am right.

I thought the same thing. You have to think that the Russian people are tired of Putin.

The chatter I hear is mostly along the lines of "why hasn't he nuked Ukraine yet" but I suppose the eradication of human society is a worthwhile price to pay for the globalist warhawks to keep their money spigot on.
