    Re: Russia

Putin's inner circle of propagandists host a weekly TV show to keep the Russian people blinded to the truth and they hope, still in support of their evil regime and illegal war in Ukraine. Think "The View" on steroids. It's actually comical how stupid they are, but much like The View, there are even stupider people watching it, and that makes this dangerous. On the most recent show, they were discussing how Mother Russia must and will crush the West, all the "evil allies" of Ukraine. One said, London is the capital of this evil, the British need to be taught a lesson. What about the United States? one asks. Another says, America is a nation of retards...yeah, thanks to Biden et al this is how the US is viewed, we are the laughingstock of the world.

Anyway, such propaganda and the lies and the cover-up is how Putin manages to fill his ranks, as the average Russian is misled into thinking they are winning the war, and those who have not returned, now buried in a mass grave somewhere in Ukraine, are actually alive and occupying "Nazi territory." Of course, as the killing of that major shows, the truth is getting out.

    Re: Russia

Been on the road this week but monitoring events in Ukraine. Russians in retreat from Kharkiv, abandoning hundreds of their comrades to be gobbled up by the victorious Ukrans. A surprise was the recent success of a Ukran advance near Malinka. Not sure why they even tried an attack here as the Russians have held this area since the beginning of the war, Feb 2022. Maybe it surprised the Russians and that is why it worked. Problem is it surprised the Ukrans as well and they did not allocate enough units for a proper follow up of their breakthrough.

One pundit surmises Putin will pull back, dig in, and wait for what many think will be a Putin-friendly Trump administration. I don't think so. But the problem is a Russian activity cease will actually benefit Russia allowing them to rest and regroup and to rebuild their ranks. Far better for the stupid Russkis to continue the offensive, suffering huge losses.

    Re: Russia

In February 2022 before the evil invasion many sources ranked Russia's miliary might 2nd in the world, just behind the US. I disagreed placing them no higher than 4th behind the US, China, and India. But now all reputable sources place them outside the top 10, one as low as 18th in the world...in terms of conventional forces. This does not include nukes, which changes the dynamics, and moves Russia up to 7th in the rankings. Putin has succeeded in destroying his military, all branches, and rendered Russia as no more than a paper tiger, or paper bear, to use that reference. If Putin is stupid enough to try to invade any eastern European country now, he'd get his ass kicked. Poland especially would utterly rout a Russian invasion army. Even Hungary, which supports Putin with that idiot in charge, Prime Minister Orban, would easily defeat a Russian invasion attempt.

So, has the world done enough to at least thwart Putin's evil expansionist plans? Yeah, in the short term, but Russia and Putin need to be punished, completely crushed, to send an unmistakable message to the Russians, and to the Chicoms and other bad actors (NK's Fat Boy, the Persians, etc.) that such naked aggression will not be tolerated and comes with a very heavy price.

    Re: Russia

One minute after midnight on June 30 the Russians launched 73 attacks along the front. Now 24+ hours later 71 of those attacks have been completely destroyed. Only 2 have realized any measure of success with the Russians taking and still holding ground (but for how long?). Sources say in these 73 attacks the Russians suffered 1,140 KIA and over 5,000 wounded and/or captured. 56 armored vehicles and 130 artillery pieces have been destroyed.

Putin has grown so desperate that his walking wounded are being sent back into combat. A video released by a group of wounded Russians reveals a soldier with his right foot gone, blown off, and him on crutches saying he has been ordered to train in a tank since he won't have to walk. Just one example of many.

Another video was released by two brothers, both wounded, one with a bullet fragment lodged in his right cheek, his face swollen twice its normal size, the other brother with bits of shrapnel in his arm. They say medics checked them out, declared them fit for duty, and sent them back into the line. A third brother was killed, his body left to rot in the woods. They are in the Kharkiv region.

How much longer will the Russian people tolerate this crap?

Early reports, no details yet...Russians struck a Ukranian airbase where the first of the F-16s had just been delivered. They used cruise missiles and there are reports of damage to the base, but nothing yet on the Falcons. Should be updates soon on the status of the F-16s. This is what Ukran officials feared but the NATO countries refused to base the jets on their airbases.

No damage to the six F-16s at that base. Two Ukran SU-27s were damaged by shrapnel, and a crater left in one runway, plus two service trucks and an out-building were destroyed. It was a miss. But the Russians will try again and again and again to take out the F-16s parked at bases.

They know they can't compete with the F-16s in aerial combat, with the possible exception of their most advanced fighter the SU-35, which has the advantage of longer-range air to air radar and can engage F-16s first with long-range missiles. But the F-16s are equipped with superior counter-measures and can avoid the Russian missiles...in most cases. Besides, the Russians have precious few of the SU-35 and will be scared to put them at risk as the Ukrans will be prepared with Patriot missiles and their own Mig-29s which will escort the F-16s on missions and provide cover.

    Re: Russia

Ukrans have crossed the Dnipro River in another place, adding to their position at Krynky. In between the Russians hold a town which is right on the river, but now the Ukrans have them sandwiched in. This is in the Kherson region along the southern front. Ukrainians have enjoyed some other successes in recent days, all minor in the bigger picture, but any gains made by Ukraine are good signs.

More targets hit in Crimea including the Kerch Bridge, struck by Ukran drones which caused a Russian fuel truck to explode engulfing the bridge in flames, closing the bridge for more than 15 hours as fire crews fought the blaze. Of course all traffic was halted, and now engineers are inspecting the bridge for damage. The Biden admin. needs to allow the Ukrans to take the gloves off and use the US ATACMS missiles in strikes anywhere and everywhere.

    Re: Russia

Putin attacked a civilian area in Dnipro City, killing 7 people, including a child, and injuring 45 more. Attacked was a school, a nursery, and an apartment complex. No Ukran military targets anywhere close to the area. Putin is a terrorist and an international criminal thug.

Being reported that Russian troops have entered an eastern district of Chasiv Yar, a VERY important hilltop city that dominates two major highways, a railroad, and a river used by barge traffic. The Ukrans have held it ever since the evil invasion began, as it is an important supply hub for Ukrainian units in that region. Using their "glide" bombs, these reported as 3,000-pounders, Russia literally flattened the district compelling the Ukrans to withdraw, and now Russian units have walked into the destroyed area.

The Russians release the glide bombs while over their occupied ground, rendering more safety to their planes. The bombs are regular "dumb" bombs, usually dropped from a heavy bomber, but are fitted with wings that allow them to glide up to 45-50 miles. The Russian pilots have gotten really good using these bombs and have become fairly accurate. Of course, they are also a terrorist weapon so if a school or a hospital get clobbered, oh well, Putin doesn't care. This can be remedied with the use of the F-16s. The Falcons will engage the lumbering SU-24s carrying the heavy bombs before they can be released.

Anyway, the Ukrans can ill-afford to lose control of Chasiv Yar, so expect a concerted counterattack.

    Re: Russia

Ukrans have successfully launched a counterattack out of Terney in the Luhansk Oblast, or actually west of it. Terney is a small village that is the location of a raised highway, on a dike, that crosses a river. It's the only suitable crossing point in that area, leading to the critical city of Lyman. For 6 months the Russians have been trying to seize Terney and have devoted two army groups, the 20th and 25th armies, to it. Terney is about 3 miles into the next oblast (province) in Ukraine, west of Luhansk. This very small area is the only ground Russia is fighting on outside of the four eastern most provinces of Ukraine. Lyman is a key supply base for the Ukrans. The past two days the Ukrans have launched a series of attacks in that area and have driven the Russians back along a 4-mile front about 2 miles. Now the bulk of the Russian forces in that area have fallen back into Luhansk, but the Ukrans have not advanced any further east (yet).

The Ukrans also advanced in two other areas overnight, retaking a mile or so on a 2-mile front. These are small gains but represent a shift in the fortunes of the two sides. Taken together with the more significant gains in Kharkiv and Kherson recently, this is welcomed news. As has been stated many times, to win this war all Ukraine has to do is not lose it. That is not double talk. It means as long as Ukraine refuses to stop fighting the war continues and Russia doesn't win. Personally, I think Putin's evil regime is on the verge of collapse. He will be taken down by Russians in a coup.

    Re: Russia

Dozens of Russian soldiers perished in a forest fire, Kherson region. Just south of the Dnipro River is a large forested area, occupied by the Russians. Temperatures have been soaring, up to 104F with no rain so the forest became a tinderbox. Ukran artillery strikes ignited a fire and dozens of Russians died while trying to escape. The Ukrans used artillery and drones to attack the Russians who had managed to escape and also destroyed trucks sent to retrieve the stranded Russians. Too bad.

Ukraine has completely liberated Vovchansk City, Kharkiv region. All surviving Russians have withdrawn back across the border.

    Re: Russia

Ukran commandoes destroyed a North Korean supply train in eastern Russia. No exact location given, few details so far, but there is drone footage of the wrecked train, said to be carrying fuel and ammo, and several independent sources reporting it. Not sure if this was actually a Russian train transporting NK supplies or an actual NK train, which is how it is being reported. Regardless it's another blow to Putin.

Well except if the train was carrying NK artillery shells then this has saved Russian soldiers' lives. NK shells are notorious for exploding inside the barrel of cannons and killing the crews. There is a wonderful video of a Russian gun crew showing off their 105mm anti-tank gun for a group of Russian citizens, including school kids, only to blow themselves up. It was a 3-man crew, who had just successfully fired one shell at a target in a field, to the cheers of the crowd. Pop in the next shell and kapow! All three soldiers were killed, as were several spectators and a dozen more injured by flying shrapnel. None of the school kids were harmed, but they witnessed quite a sight, and hopefully learned not to join Putin's artillery branch.

    Re: Russia

An Iranian warship sunk in the Black Sea? Some YouTubers are reporting that, but I have not seen any reliable sources confirming this.

Ukraine struck an important Russian supply base fairly deep inside of Russia. Huge explosions and fires spreading to neighboring buildings near the base. Whole area has been cordoned off by Russian police, civilians evacuated, only firefighting units are allowed to pass the roadblocks. Video shot from miles away shows a huge cloud of smoke. This very serious. Whatever was stored at the base was volatile and dangerous...nukes? maybe. Oh, Ukraine did this with drones and their own domestically manufactured missiles. But drones usually don't produce such results and Ukraine lacks the capacity to build enough missiles.

Biden administration and the other European allies need to allow Ukraine to take the gloves completely off. Ukrans were allowed to use ATACMS missiles and UK and French-made missiles to attack Russian assets within 100km of the border with Kharkiv. Made a HUGE difference! HUGE!!!! In less than a week the badly out-numbered Ukrans completely reversed the situation in Kharkiv because they used ally long-range missiles to obliterate Russian supplies and reserves across the border. Just think if Ukraine can do the same everywhere. This war would be over in less than a month and Ukraine will have taken back all territory including Crimea.

Meanwhile Ukraine continues to win the naval battle in the Black Sea and now in the Sea of Azov too using sea drones. These drones are composed of plastic and fiberglass and are impossible to detect using standard radar. That is the secret of their success.

Russians have made some small gains in places. But so has Ukraine. The front is some 900 miles long and both sides use scout drones to find weaknesses in opposing defenses. The difference is Russia always loses plenty of soldiers and equipment even when they make gains, while Ukraine is able to minimize their losses. "Charge of the Golf Carts!" is how one YouTuber framed it when the Russians used Chinese-made ATVs to attack. These are not golf carts, but pro-Ukran YouTubers jokingly call them that. Anyway, all 10 of the "golf carts" were destroyed, as were 20+ motorcycles too. Russians lost 40+ soldiers KIA and the rest wounded/captured.

Breaking news, reported attack on a children's hospital in Kyiv by Putin hypersonic missile, one of 14 such strikes on civilian targets in the past 45 minutes. Early reports say 20 killed, including 6 children, at the hospital. But more deaths expected as rescue crews are just now going through the rubble of a collapsed wing of the building. This is pure evil terrorism. Can you imagine if Putin attacked St. Jude's in Memphis and killed kids (and staff)! Would some of you Tucker Carlson's types still defend Putin saying he is "just defending his nation against NATO aggression"? Yeah...probably. And why not? Why shouldn't Putin attack St. Jude's, after all the US is "guilty" of supporting "Nazi" Ukraine, er, right Tucker?

    Re: Russia

And to further drive home the point who the real Nazis are, a YouTuber just released a video chronicling the Nazis in Putin's regime and organizations and units fighting for Putin/Russia who proudly, VERY proudly, proclaim their Nazism. "Wagner" the real founder of the Wagner Group had a swastika tattoo. One of Putin's thugs, a proud Nazi, tortured and killed small animals as a child, including dogs and cats. There was a newspaper article written about him when he was arrested as a young punk and he disclosed his love for killing small animals. Now he leads a mercenary unit fighting for Russia. He is guilty of war crimes and if not killed, then when captured he will face a trial for his crimes.

Death toll in Putin's attack on hospitals has risen above 30 and will probably go higher.

    Re: Russia

Revenge! Ukraine launched a barrage of drones against civilian infrastructure sites last night. Power plants, more oil storage sites, bridges...but no schools or hospitals, as Ukraine is civilized, unlike Putin's regime. Heretofore Ukraine has refrained from attacking targets without a direct connection to the Russian military. Yes, there has been some collateral damage when the targets were close to civilians. But last night Ukraine hit civilian sites. The power plants were built by a German company, using German-made parts. If Germany honors the sanctions these destroyed/damaged power plants cannot be repaired and brought back online. The war just notched up a level.

Another one of Biden's stooges, Defense Advisor John Kirby was on Brett Baier's show last night and asked a direct question: will the Biden admin. lift the ban on Ukraine's ability to use US-made weapons in attacks inside of Russia? Kirby, in typical democrap-style, answered YES and NO all inside of a one statement. So, the real answer is no, but Brett Baier did not press him or follow-up on the stupid response. So, Ukraine will continue to depend on their drones for such attacks.
