That was a very Goosey-like statement!

I'll pretend it was out of character and continue to take your posts seriously.

I tend to become heated in these discussions. This is good practice.

(I like Goosey. I disagree with him about 90% of the time but I always appreciate a dissident voice)

Except his statements seem to come directly from the DNC propaganda room. Might as well argue with MSNBC.

Your viewpoints have not been that at all. No spin in them at all. I might not agree with all of them, but at least they are yours.

The left was unwilling to okay things that would have made a huge difference weeks ago. Fellow GOP swampers looked the other way. Suddenly we dumping $40 billion into the situation with a few Hunter Biden types in charge of spending the funds that we borrowed from China

And when these so-called "conservatives" gain the majority in November, nobody will be looking into any of this.

Many of them are likely profiting with those Hunter Biden types.

    GOP needs new leadership.....BAD.

The one thing Mitch did well was keep that POS Garland out of the Supreme Court.

I didn't say anything, but no, it doesn't look like it has been squandered. Sorry, not sorry, your side is losing.

“ my side” wanted to send much needed and idle jets. Your side acted like cowards and ran the other way. BTW who is in charge of spending this extortion?

    Re: Russia

    A few stats...

Russia has suffered 26,600 KIA in this war, lost 161 helicopters, and 195 armored vehicles, including tanks.

These numbers were published by the Ukranian Security Service public relations bureau. But US military observers say the numbers, especially the KIAs may be a bit exaggerated, but they are not that far off. What is clear, and CONFIRMED, is that Putin is getting his ass kicked and is losing the war. Hell! even CNN had a piece today stating Putin was in full retreat and a guest "expert" predicted Russia would be completely out of Ukraine in less than 90 days.

Some call this a "proxy" war fought by the US and our western allies. Well, if that is so, then I say well done indeed! Such blatant aggression cannot be tolerated by the Free World, and if the GOOD GUYS (that's us!) were able to prosecute this war and WIN IT without risking the lives of our own service men & women, then OMG! Major kudos all around!

I now hope & pray Xi takes from this a lesson that invading a neighboring country will end badly for the invader. Leave Taiwan alone! Holy crap, how hard is it to live in peace?

    Re: Russia

Putin has cancer? That's the rumor after a taped conversation was leaked out of Moscow. Far be it for me to root for the Big C...but I am willing to make an exception.

In other news, British Intelligence confirmed some of the information about the Russkies being in full retreat in most sectors. Yes, it is true, Russian forces enjoyed a minor reversal on Friday and regained some lost ground east of Khartiv, but it was only a few miles and the Ukrainian units there have regrouped and are planning their own counter-attack. And the Brits report that Russian losses top 40,000 casualties. This would be KIA, wounded, and captured.

    Re: Russia

Newsweek article just published has intercepted messages between Russian soldiers and their families. Points to mass desertions, self-inflicted wounds so to be sent home, and destruction of their equipment so they have an excuse not to be sent into combat. One Russian mother blasted her son for his disloyalty to his country, saying the world will attack us, World War Four, and you soldiers must defend the country. World War FOUR? What happened to Three? We must have missed that one... Anyway, the soldier tried to convince his mother this Ukrainian invasion is not just, Russia is in the wrong, and that he, at age 20, was not willing to sacrifice his life for this.

Newsweek stated that this exchange between mother and son has not been confirmed as legit, although the writer insists it is. It probably does represent the general sentiment of the average Russian soldier, and the rest has been confirmed.

At least one of the instances of a Russian convoy wiped out, every vehicle destroyed, was originally credited to a Ukrainian drone attack but now US intelligence sources say the Russians blew up their own equipment and those soldiers had taken civilian vehicles and were last seen headed back toward the Russian border. A recent attack destroying a Russian convoy crossing a river over pontoons has been confirmed as a drone attack. That convoy was in retreat back toward Russia when it was caught in a vulnerable place, crossing a river.

Regardless of what is exactly true, instance by instance, it is clear Putin is losing (has lost!) the war. His own troops blowing up their vehicles!? Game over!
