Exactly. You said Soros' organization funds Wagner. A Russian organization, based in Russia, ran by Russians, employing Russians, working for Russia, and so on. While I wouldn't put it past Putin to allow his goons to ignore Russian law, your statement so far isn't supported. Its not too much to ask for you to provide a source.

Look it up yourself. Provide your own source. I just typed in "history of the Wagner Group" and read an article, written by a British journalist, which details aspects of the Wagner Group. A few highlights for the less sophisticated among you...ahem:

    1. Originally registered in Hong Kong but relocated its international HQ to Argentina.
    2. Responsible for the assassination of the president of Haiti, using Columbia-based mercenaries.
    3. Has regional operations affiliated with it. (Hello! the franchise in Moscow!)
    4. Has been involved in wars/conflicts in Africa and the Middle-East, most notably in Syria.
    5. Has an array of [drum roll, please] official and unofficial partnerships with various organizations around the world (Hello! George Soros!)

I realize you will never see any of this on CNN and MSNBC or in the NYT, but it's out there for those willing to look.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming...

    Putin is losing!

    Re: Russia

    Mock this!

Putin's propaganda media was mocking the west on its indecisions to send advanced tanks to Ukraine. Well, Germany just announced they are sending the Leopard Tank, considered the best tank in the world, even as the US still considers sending the M1 Abrams Tank, which might happen, at least the slightly older version.

    Putin is losing!

Why would we send Abrams to Ukraine if she can't even win in Georgia?

    Re: Russia

The Anka News Network is covering the war and often mixes in a little humor, like today in a video:

Narrator says, There are three key components to having a strong military,

    1. Brave and well-trained soldiers
    2. Up to date technology and equipment
    3. Good leadership

...unfortunately Russia has none of the above.

The way the narrator says it nonchalantly is hilarious. He then mentions some of the latest news which includes the surrender of 60 of Russia's elite unit The VDV, The Blue Berets recently. Exactly where this surrender took place was not disclosed but Soledare was mentioned so it was probably in that area.

    Putin is losing.

    Re: Russia

International Paper Company is the latest corporation to sever ties with Russia in an announced sell-off of its operations there, reported price of $500 million to a Russian company.

I mention this because I worked for IP and traveled to Russia in 1995 to survey their extensive conifer forests between Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 1992 IP purchased a mill in Poland and was planning to supply timber to it from Russia. In 2007 IP entered into an agreement with a Russian company, said venture IP just sold out of.

Sidenote...the Russian foresters we met were a hoot! Party animals! Fine fellows and they knew their stuff too.

    Re: Russia

Latest video out of Ukraine...wow. Actually feel sorry for those hapless Russian soldiers, led to the slaughter by moronic leaders. Russia is using WWI tactics and strategy and the Ukrans have the latest in drone technology, satellite coverage, and the best military equipment available.

Video released by The Sun, exact location not disclosed, shows the Russians digging trenches, zig-zagging across open spaces, no tree cover, just out in a field, a farm, I guess. Took them a month to complete the trench, at least a mile long. All the while the Ukrans had drones monitoring the construction and, at the same time, targeting the trench with exact longitude and latitude numbers and feeding it to Ukran artillery. Then they waited... sure enough hundreds of Russian troops arrived and filled the trench. Then, bam, bam, bam. No more Russian troops. Trench became a convenient mass grave.

Latest figures have Russian KIA over 130,000 and over 300,000 wounded. The losses in equipment have reached astronomical proportions. Something like 7,000 tanks and another 20,000 armored vehicles lost. Thousands of helicopters shot down, hundreds of advanced jet fighters lost, and tens of thousands of support vehicles, artillery pieces, etc...

    Re: Russia

Iran weapons factory/depot was completely destroyed. It was assumed it was Israel doing the good deed, but now Ukraine has claimed the credit using a drone attack. Ukrainian spokesman made a statement saying they had warned Iran to stop supplying Russia. The Persians claimed there was only minor damage to the facility and no casualties, but satellite images revealed the truth.

In other stupid stuff, the sister of NK's Kim Jong Un has issued a "warning" to the US and Europe that we are getting dangerously close to involving "the world" because we are supplying Ukraine weapons. North Korea? LOL!

Well, they do have the 4th largest army in the world and pay about 5% of their GDP funding it.

Probably a more dangerous adversary than Russia, and certainly more fanatical.

Of course, with their economic prowess they could only fund that army for about a week in any type of conflict.

Neither can Ukraine. So the same question holds for NK - will there be a huge economic power propping them up in order to enrich themselves and sap their enemies?

Probably the same economic power that is propping them up right now.

I think Saddam Hussein's Iraqi army was the 4th largest in the world. Took all of 100 days, on his turf, to completely wipe it out.
