Not surprising. Takes the pressure of the governors who refuse to open things up.

So new rules just went into place with no restriction on outdoor events. Indoor events/venues can now have 100% capacity with masks or 75% capacity with no masks and social distancing. Has any heard if Tech will be selling for 100% capacity now for baseball?

Our governor has to make the call. He won't unless Kim Mulkey tells him to.

Limits on the number of people who can gather outdoors will be lifted. Organizers of indoor events, including sporting events, can choose 75% occupancy with distancing or full occupancy with masks, Edwards said Tuesday Louisiana to further loosen COVID-19 restrictions, including mask mandate | Washington Examiner

He already has. Outdoor events/venues no longer have any restriction. Still some restrictions on indoor events though

Our AD said in at least one interview that they would begin selling more tickets when the governor lifted restrictions

There is a caveat on state owned and public property in his latest issuance - if you want to maintain your immunity to lawsuits, you have to keep the restrictions in place...

Email from Guice this afternoon contained this info:

For Louisiana Tech and campus operations, the following guidelines are now in place:
    • Masks are still required indoors on campus and outdoors where distancing is not possible.
    • Indoor gatherings, including classrooms, can now have 100% capacity with mask wearing enforced. All organizations using facilities on campus will be asked to enforce this policy for each event.
    • Outdoor events will not have any capacity restrictions.

McNeese to allow full capacity for outdoor sporting events.
