Redesign Coming to Karl Malone Court

Here's my thoughts,

We use the athletic logo everywhere (the cover under the video board, tunnel entrance, signage, digital board, etc). It's a bit excessive. I think an oversized official State-T should be at center court. My problem with the Tech athletic, they think one logo should be use for university/academic and the other is for athletics. Totally stupid. The official logo should be incorporated as much as the athletic logo in our athletic images.

Agreed. I don't like something about all of the official choices. This one is much better.

I’m just glad there wasn’t a choice for a “piney woods” theme to match our little sisters to the south.

Even if you are meticulous in properly maintaining your floor, gym floors need to be refinished every 8 to 10 years.

The ugly logo is an abomination. If the coaches like it on their windbreakers, fine. But it should be avoided at all costs.

I get what they were trying for, but it doesn't work. It doesn't fit in a schedule, isn't legible in a crawl, and is horrendously ugly in any size anyone could read. When you add in how great the original is - I just don't see why you'd ever use the one that's so bad aesthetically. I mean, I'd feel that way even if I thought it "worked" for branding, but at this point I'm pretty skeptical of that.
