I'm not trying to be disrespectful, BUT --metaphorically speaking-- shouldn't we kill these guys? I mean, with a 23-16 record, how in the world did they even make the NCAA Tournament? I know they won the MAAC Tournament, but.....they were a 3-seed when it started. And their conference mates are:

Fairfield
Manhattan
Canisius
Niagara
Marist
Siena
Monmouth

Seems kind of small time to me. However, after such a brutal CUSA Tournament --which included 4 Top 25 teams-- I guess we could use an easy out. Now, don't everybody go ballistic over my comments. These are not comments I would typically post on another sports board. But seriously, our guys should be MORE THAN ready for this test.

Don't forget that we play up or down to our competition. Rider making it in is equivalent to if UTSA were to have won our tournament. We all know that we should have beat them by much more than 1 run. Hopefully, this will be like our WKU game in the tournament, instead. I am cheering for Alabama in the first game. Yes, they are lower seeded that NC State, but I just want to beat Alabama. Beating an SEC team in Ruston is the way to get the best coverage!

I don’t know how to feel about it. He gave up hits, but then he worked around them and didn’t give up runs several times. Instill say that was the most gutsy performance I have personally witnessed at the Love Shack.
