Pulling hard for N.C. State! That Arizona-Vandy game was a good one. N.C. State now plays Vandy, I believe. (winner vs. winner day one)
Virginia trying to play giant killer too
Have seen quite a few games this post season. Our guys have about the same velocity as the rest. Maybe we don’t locate as well. Maybe our catchers need to work on framing. Not many teams have more than 1-2 guys who throw 90 or better. At least from my memory.

This is the technique our catchers need to work on... moving the glove into the strike zone during the catch, not catching the ball then jerking the glove into the zone. There’s a subtle difference.

Good catchers do this in high school and juco. This should no have to taught to Division one catchers.

Coronas way of catching actually makes an edge pitch looks worse because he throws his glove at it and carries the ball off the plate.

Moo State showed how NOT too worry about a juiced ball...don't let the batters hit the ball! Good pitching beats good hitting. It's the surest way to be a consistent winner in baseball.

The call on what should have been a routine out was very telling yesterday. Announcers expected a short to medium fly ball out, and the outfielder caught it on the run on the warning track.
And just now the Arizona outfielder goes back expecting to have a play on a ball, and it lands about 10 rows deep in the right field seats.
