Better Late Than Never: Tech's Turner Finally Called to the Hall

The next Lady Techster who has the best chance of induction is Vicky Johnson.

She is originally from Coushatta, where she was a Street & Smith's All-American and a member of the USA Today Super 25 coming out of high school. She was the MVP of the All-Class team at the Sweet Sixteen tournament as a senior. She averaged over 30 points a game in high school.

She then had an incredible career at Tech, and then went on to have a stellar WNBA career.

And as Blue Dawg pointed out earlier in this thread, she is a current WNBA head coach.

She really does check all the boxes for the LSWA.

Finally, she is the only two-time Kodak All-American from Tech who is not in the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.


For the LSWA, she would be a good representative of the Tech teams from 1994 to 1999, who sent 2 teams to national championship games but are not represented in the Hall.
