Good, let a couple of kids flunk out or simply get kicked off the team because they sleep in, don’t study, miss a meeting or a practice, or just have no clue what they are doing on the field. Deadlines, stress, lack of sleep, prioritizing, and sacrificing. That’s adulting. Let’s see how they handle it.

That's not the problem. The real problem is that the door has now been opened for real COMPANIES to bid on a very young athletes services. This will introduce lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, bankers, tax & insurance professionals, debt counselors, sports agents, media consultants, handlers, doctors and many other "hangers on" into the equation. (I'm sure all these factions were pushing the NCAA hard for approval of this.) And that's just the beginning. I can't see how this ends well for most of these young athletes. As "amateur" athletes in the past, at least players were protected from all these outside interferences. Not anymore. The NCAA has truly killed the golden goose. There's no way most 18-20 yr old kids are equipped mentally or physically to handle all this. Most of these guys don't even have a decent foundational education yet, and for many, neither do their parents.

These kids are already doing things in their own time. They always were, and they always will. They are playing video games and goofing around, doing personal projects, and even working out. All of these things can be recorded and posted online.

Normal people, and normal students, can do all of this. And they have the freedom to monetize it. There is no harm in it, if they get a lil extra money for themselves thats great. If they openly talk about their athletics on their platforms that is also great, and potential free advertisement.

The issue with this will definitely come with corporations. There has to be some things kept in check.
