I have tried to pay attention to our opponents stadiums. This is not just an issue at Tech. Many of our G5 opponents have dingy buildings. Even some new stadiums already have dingy bleachers and concrete. Just an observation. Not an excuse. We may not be able to afford to clean it every season, but every couple of years we absolutely should.

We power wash every few years, beginning about 15 years ago when a company came in with a good price and did Tech, ULL, Texas A&M, and a few others.

It was scheduled for last year but was postponed.

What we really need now is to have the stadium sealed again, as qng001 has pointed out. The last time we sealed was in 2000 when the handrails and ADA restrooms were added.

Yup. Also, going through the process of resealing will address a lot of other repairs (sealing expansion joints, fixing any cracks, repairing any hardware related issues from handrails to seats, etc).

Maybe a resealing bid could also include installing bleacher backs with the seats being removed during the process.

I like it when an Athletic Director, like Dooley, says something like, "This looks like a dump" and then goes out and finds $upport to get it done. (Joe Power washing, old Fieldhouse locker room are two examples). He didn't wait on anybody to show up with a deal.
