Very weak non-conference schedule. Do play at Ole Miss and at Colorado, but other than those there is nothing on the OOC slate. It's an 11-game non-conference schedule, maybe Brooke is hoping to go 9-2, maybe 10-1 with one upset.
It's called a "save my job" schedule.
A few years ago a local high school football coach was told by his principal he had one more year to produce a winner. When he announced his schedule that year all the normal out of district opponents were gone, replaced by the weakest teams you could imagine.
