    Week 3 Games of Interest

Wow!...kind of sad, really. Today Nebraska is at Oklahoma, and outside of those two fanbases, no one is talking about it. "Back in the day" Nebraska vs. Oklahoma was THE GAME on Thanksgiving weekend. Nebraska might be making more money via the Big 10's much bigger revenue stream, but that once-proud program has disappeared from the national landscape.

Now, there is a big game today...Bama at Florida. Go Gators! I don't even like UF, and I do "kind of" like Bama and Nick Saban...well, at least I admire and respect them for their success, but I want to see change in the CFP. Wish this game was tonight, instead of at the exact same time as our game.

In CUSA, not much in the way of meaningful games. I suppose UAB at UNT is the biggest as it affects the west division.

One game that I’m interested in is the Ole Miss-Tulane game tonight. Not sure yet if either of those teams are for real, seems like an intriguing match up.

Tulane has a good QB, Michael Pratt. Like him and Coastal's Grayson McCall. Both have futures in the NFL.

Tulane can break their losing streak vs. AP-ranked teams, now at 57 straight losses, longest active streak.

    Holy moly

Watching Army UConn to test my...access to CBSSN and dadgum. UConn should seriously consider competition at a lower level.

Yep, I like Tulane’s QB a lot. I think Tulane will need to score often to have a chance.

NCAA rules don't let them drop down that far. They MIGHT be competitive in DIII. They would be a below average FCS team.

Just honored that Judy could hook us up with a premium (literally) network who broadcasts such great teams

In OOC games, CUSA was 1-7 yesterday, the lone win was FAU over mighty Fordham. That's it.

UAB and FAU will probably be plucked by the AAC, leaving only culls behind.

CUSA went 0-fer in the bowls last year and has started out getting pummeled in non-conference games this year. Meanwhile, teams from other G5 leagues do, occasionally, knock off P5s and salivate at the prospects of playing a CUSA team for a sure win. CUSA is the worst FBS conference, and it's no longer even close. Even the MAC has put distance between themselves and lowly CUSA. YET! will Skip Holtz be able to win this crappy conference, even once? Well, maybe after UAB, FAU, Marshall, and USM all depart for greener pastures and Tech is left standing among the rejected dregs. Even then don't bet your lunch money on Holtz...he'll blow the CCG to Charlotte or ODU.

If we can get it down to just us, UTEP, NTX, ODU, FIU and Rice, I like our chances to win the conference championship every five or so years.

In that kind of company, yeah, I could see a title every 5 years or so. It's possible.

Maybe we can invite ULM and New Mexico State? I’m struggling to find anyone else we’re consistently better than.
