Looks like we are due a conference championship this year as the previous two where 10 years apart....2001 and 2011. 2021 is our year!

Hopefully we can do better than that, but I would be ecstatic to finally take a CUSA championship in football.
Especially BEFORE CUSA falls apart and is greatly weakened.
I was thrilled when Rummel won our first state championship in football in 2012 and especially so because it was the last year of a TRUE state championship. Every state title won since then, including the two won by Rummel, is mostly meaningless. There should be no split in the state playoffs public from private schools.
Well, if Marshall, USM, UAB...all leave CUSA and then we win the conference title. Yuck! Won't mean very much.

Now you've blown any incentive that Tech's leadership ever had to improve things. I told you people that the only way we'll ever see good, positive changes from our Tech leadership is if they think ULM is getting ahead of us. Oh well, at least I had 'em believing it for a week.

Let’s not write off ULM being the best college football team in all of North Louisiana just yet. Not after their monstrous upset of a genuinely good 5-1 Liberty team. Meanwhile, as we all know, Holtz dropped his pants to a so-so UTEP team and did so quite happily after having 2 weeks to prepare for them. I’d sure hate to see ULM throttle Tech, but that’s probably what would happen this year. It really pains me to see Tech slipping this low in a sport that we were once so proud. I personally know some Tech all stars who won’t set foot in the stadium for all that Tech is doing wrong. It’s sad and utterly shameful.

My guess would be in the mid-80's.
The most difficult part of this research is finding years when nlulm won two games in a row. They actually last did that in 2018. We did not lose on the two two game streaks of ulm 2018. I got tired after that and stopped looking. All I can say is, thanks to coach Holtz for setting another record.
RichRod will be gone after next season, at the latest. Then NLU will back to their losing ways, couple of years later they fire Bowden. By then we will be destroying McNeese State, Tarleton State, Sam Houston State and Northwestern State University of Louisiana (that's a lot of states), winning Conference USA/WAC/Southland/whatever it's calledconference championships. Then the world will seem right again.
