I wouldn't rest him. I like AK a lot, but he's not a piece of fine china. This program needs WINS, and we're in the middle of football season. I appreciate the fact that some athletes get banged up during the season, but oh well. That's football. Note: Now, I'm presuming he was just a little banged up from the SMU game, and that it's NOT a COVID issue.

This NC-State team lost to MSU. They aren’t out of our league.

I'm not sure what the ceiling is for this year's offense (with Kendall playing) but I think we played at about 60% potential in the SMU game. I won't be surprised if we score multiple TD's against them and they have to try and keep up.

If there was an actual injury involved, that would be a different situation. AK was banged up, and the week off last week should have already resolved most of those issues.

ETA...it is now being reported that AK is good to go.

And boy did he. I think that Austin opened some eyes tonight. The way he was able to avoid the rush and keep his eyes down field and make plays with his legs was awesome to watch.

I agree. I was truly impressed with Austin Kendall tonight. He's a real gamer. And I feel 1,000 per cent more comfortable with him taking our snaps as opposed to anyone else at this point.

If Kendall stays healthy, I'm thinking we may run the table from here. We have 7 regular season games remaining, and I don't see anyone on our schedule who can beat us, including UAB, who's losing badly at home tonight against Liberty. Tech could finish the regular season 9-3, and then win the CUSA Championship game, to finish 10-3. And then there's a bowl game somewhere too, so Tech could finish 11-3 this year, if everyone stays healthy.

That's my hope.
