Clemson vs. NC State Condensed Game | 2021 ACC Football
Last time we ventured to Raleigh we got smacked 41-14 (think that was the score, and that by an NC State team that finished with a losing record). Yeah, the Pack will be suffering some from a hangover after their big win, and it might take them some time to get going, but OMG! the entire 2nd Half....whoa!
Prediction: 1st qtr ends 7-7, State is up 21-10 by halftime, but to the casual observer it is still very much a game. Dawgs are moving the ball and only running out of steam after crossing the 50 a couple of times. We know the truth. The State defensive coaches have gotten the bland Skippy pegged and have adjusted. That shows in the 2nd half leading to a final score of 42-13. (We get one 47 yard FG from Barnes and ask ourselves why he couldn't have done that in the Moo State game).
Next loss!
Assuming AK is out for this one, HCSH should be pretty relaxed this week knowing he won't have to blow a 4th quarter lead.
35-14 with AK
49-3 without him...
And it's not that close
''Don't be a bad dagh..."
A few notes from 2013 as to why Tech lost:We’re the Red and White from State,
- Tech lost because of the 65 seniors missing from the prior season (first game after I-Bowl fiasco)
- It was very hot on the east side of the stadium (afternoon August kickoff was the hottest game I attended in Carter-Finley)
- Half-time passes meant a lot of people did not make it back into the stadium – including Tech’s defense (I made it back)
- Start of 8 year streak of no P5 regular season wins (Skip Holtz first game at Tech)
- Yelling “Go to Hell, Carolina” from the visiting section of Carter-Finley may not be appropriate.
And we know we are the best.
A hand behind our back,
We can take on all the rest.
GO TO HELL, CAROLINA!!!
Devils and Deacs stand in line.
The Red and White from NC State.
GO STATE!!!
As an alumnus of both NC State and Louisiana Tech, stay away from wagering on Saturday’s game. State pulling a State is just as likely as Tech pulling a Tech.
2-3, and the Holtz cheerleaders talk up that we are still in the running for a C-USA championship.
Until Saturday, October 23rd. Then the talk becomes what meaningless early December Bowl Game we will go to.
Holtz is the best we can do!
The script writes itself.
AK is not that good to make that much of a difference. And, he can't play defense, special teams, nor snatch the headset away from Skippy.
My 42-13 prediction was based on AA playing the whole game, or 85-90% of it. With a healthy, ready-to-go AK, I'll predict State 35 Dawgs 17. A tad bit more competitive, but at the end of the day another blah effort.
Holtz never goes into these games really trying to win them. It’s always a matter of hoping somehow the other team will have their worst game ever and Tech win eek out a victory.
The biggest shame of all is that being athletes, Tech‘s players usually start out playing to win until that inevitable point when Holtz does something crazy to impress upon them that we aren’t there to win. At that point everyone hits the cruise control and they run away with the effort.
So, all in all just add another digit to Holtz’s mounting failed road underdog loss record. What’s one more bean in the pile, no one’s counting anyway.
People are counting, but unfortunately the ones who care don’t seem to matter to the athletic department. The people who do matter just simply don’t care anymore, it’s the only explanation. Well don’t care past the point of getting what they want addressed, the product is an afterthought. If the product mattered to them he would be on the hot seat at a minimum.
Tech will go into the locker room at halftime ahead 28 to 3 but will lose the game 31 to 45...just my thoughts!
Can we even score 28 in a half anymore against anyone who n FBS?
